Sorry but I've just had a bad day with ds Grin
He wouldn't listen to instructions properly, kept running off in front when I told him not to, argued back and finally hurt himself because he was acting silly. Sad
Also he's so flamin fussy at meal times that they often turn into a disaster Angry
Cheer me up and make me feel like I'm not alone Wink. What do yours do to get your back up?

Hiding things when we are going somewhere. Omfg. My 6 year old hides my bag, phone, keys, himself, if we are going out, even if it's somewhere he wants to go! It drives me MAD.

Now she BALANCES the lids on top so you get an even nastier surprise when you come to lift that jar up

This is a recent problem I've had, mainly with bottles of squash...the lid just balanced on top meaning I pick it up and it drops and goes everywhere.

Both the dc and dh swear it's not them doing it and I can't catch the bugger in action Angry

Woke up to the noise and smell of DD (15 months) shartting her nappy in her sleep ... then after clearing it up from every imaginable crevice, she then did a four coiler on the changing mat so needed to start over again ... Not what I had planned for 6:30!

Bugger about at bedtime.

I can be standing outside the door (where they can see me!) and they still start acting up! Very annoying.

Can I add that my ds1 is addicted to plugs. He carries s extension lead around with him. Loves plugging stuff in. It's the first thing he thinks about and the last thing at night. Angry

"I'm hungry, I'm starving, Mummy do you want me to starve?, Can I eat this?" when he's not actually hungry he just wants the sweets/whatever he's just found.

Eating something with a packet/wrapper and then just dump the wrapper wherever he happens to be sitting, despite the fact we have an open plan living/kitchen and the bin is a few steps away.

It would be easier to ask me what they do that doesn't annoy me. When they are asleep they are angels and eh well thats about it Grin

Beerwench spot on! You've described my DD to a tee.

She usually remembers she has homework due in the next day 5 minutes before bedtime. It's never a small task, it's usually a PowerPoint presentation that she's known about for a month Angry

Waking me up every single night - they're 5.5 and 3

Asking for more food after every meal. They have large portions. Plus 2 or 3 desserts (yoghurt, fruit, cheese). Then they want MORE. They want cheese, crisps or biscuits. But will accept a sandwich or a banana (so they really are hungry - it's just annoying)

We went away for the weekend and DS1 just whinged the entire time. Didn't want to be in the car. Didn't want to go out in the rain. Didn't want to walk. Was hungry. Was hungry. Was hungry. We finally ate our meal and then he whinged all the way back to the hotel that he was cold.

DS1 overreacting at the slightest bit of pain. He never used to when he was a toddler but now he goes into hysterics.

I know it's because she's 6 and is trying so hard at school all day but DDs lack of inhibition/self awareness drives me potty. Everything that pops into her head has to be said or done, even if it'll get her in trouble. Then we have tears because she's in trouble. I swear it's actually like she doesn't have a clue what the rest of her body is doing.

Me: DD stop climbing, DD sit properly before you fall off. (X3 because she can't hear me the first time I say anything ever)

Moaning about every little thing that might be wrong with DS (9) and constant requests for medicine. Tiniest little scratch from four days ago that he discovers and he obsesses over it. It's worse when he's been to his dad's house. His dad always has something wrong with him. Sometimes feel like asking if he needs putting down because his mile long list of ailments give the impression he's lucky to be alive (ex that is not DS). Can't possibly imagine where DS gets it from Hmm.

The bickering, and the kicking each other.

The constant stream of commentary from dd, I swear she can't have a thought she doesn't share.

Ds tuneless and constant whistling!?

Ds not wiping his bum properly and me having to wash his pants Envy

Its a good job I love them.

Dump all their stuff wherever and just leave it.
School bags, shoes, coats, crisp packets. Am I slave employed to only pick up after them? Does my head in!!!!

My 3 yo does not listen. She had a hearing test today (on GP recommendation) and she passed with flying colours. I had pinned all my hopes on glue ear or something but turns out she's just rude Wink

DD (4.5) pointblank REFUSES to tidy her bedroom and outright said to me "why don't you do it, mummy?"
She also gives the dirtiest looks imaginable. Like last night, I went to tuck her in and give her a kiss and a cuddle and she shot me a death stare and shouted "ugh, get OFF me mummy, you KNOW I GET SWEATY"
Otherwise she's a very easy child.

My DD age 3 got a hearing test, one of the long winded ones in a quiet room with blocks and the like and refused to participate in it except wiggling her face ever so slightly at a noise. They declared it was 'selective hearing' and 10 years later I am still bamboozled as to whether she can hear me, chooses not to hear me or has an issue with her hearing. She can't hear 2 noises at once as it confuses her... apparently

Bickering, head and shoulders above everything else this annoys me most. Always about the most unimportant thing. Repetition of any kind drives me mad. Repeating the same phrase gives me the rage. I take a deep breath and wait for it to pass because once they know it annoys you it never ends. DD does this tuneless whistling through her teeth arghhhh! I suspect that I am a little intolerant ha ha!
