Which exams are you doing and are you self studying?

emma2468 · 06/05/2017 21:16

I've just sat one of my CTA exams. Crammed for the last 2 weeks leading up to it. What are you sitting?

ScaredStudent449 · 06/05/2017 21:19

I'm studying with a big 4 - three exams in one go (AA, FAR and TC), I've been to college for them but can't remember a lot and now very scared!!!

It's 20 years since I did mine (god that makes me feel old) but it depends how many papers you are doing and if you are going to be at work at the same time.

smu06set · 06/05/2017 21:23

I did ICAS with big 4 - it is possible and you will get there. I have no wish to ever go back and do those exams again tho!

emma2468 · 06/05/2017 21:25

Ha I only say it whether I pass or not is touch and go! 3 in one sitting is tough. Do you have kids? Ive found studying since having the kids 100 times tougher!!

CaffeineBomb · 06/05/2017 21:25

Lots of question practice is the best way to revise for these rather than just re reading notes. Aim to work every question in the revision bank at least once and be prepared to sacrifice your weekends! Good luck with the right amount of work I'm sure you will be fine

TattiePants · 06/05/2017 21:27

Just looked at the syllabus and it's changed so much. So if this is your professional level then I assume you have already studied for / passed the certificate level so you already know the basics. You will just be building on what you know so it's totally possible.

TattiePants · 06/05/2017 21:30

Also be glad you aren't as old as me. We had to sit all papers for that level at the same time so 5 or 6 papers together and you could only fail one paper by 5% max or you had to resit them all again.
