DP lost his bank card AGAIN!!!

He's always losing his bloody bank card. He's had to replace it about 4 times in the last 12 months. Today apparently it was on the kitchen table and he couldn't find it. Started shouting, making a mess, then accusing me of losing it. And it had been there for 3 days?!! So I'm now in a bad mood and feel like it's ruined my Saturday. (He has finally found it)

AIBU for letting it get to me and spoil my day? No doubt the pregnancy hormones are to play, but it's one of a few things he does that makes my blood boil too

He's a great DP in other areas it's just a few things he does gets on my tits.

just if it is that I'll try and rationalise things in future, I know it can't be helped. Like you said though it's still a bit of a pain

I was wondering (I can't describe it properly) is another sign when you can't get things out of your head? E.g. he won't stop doing something until it's done and if I interrupt or anything he has a mental fit saying he can't stop as it won't leave his head.

Rain that sounds like hyper focus. People with ADHD can sometimes have certain areas they excessively focus on and essentially shut everything else out.

It also sounds like rituals which can sometimes be seen in ADHD and ASD, there's a bit of overlap.

Thank you. You've definitely given me food for thought, and does sound possible he could have adult ADHD. I'll see what he thinks, but he'll probably just dismiss it. I'll try and have a bit more patience with him in the future

DH is so much like this. Usually after he is absolutely certain that its lost forever and has cancelled it and a new one is in the process of arriving, the card will show up. and often I will get accused of hiding it on purpose?! Like..why would anyone?

I don't really see the problem, as long as you don't waste your time looking for his stuff, who cares?

I've always been fine (usually) but have recently lost my keys and glasses. Must be getting old!
