Just that really. Planning a party and need to create a playlist. My faves - Long Hot Summer by Style Council and Cruel Summer - The GREAT Nanarama. All your faves welcome here. THANK YOU!

I second Somewhere in My Heart by Aztec Camera, my son says it always reminds him of me as when he was little I used to play it constantly around the house after I bought it. It was the last 45 I ever bought, all CDs after that. It was his last summer of just Mum and Dad as in the autumn I became pregnant with his sister.
Summer Breeze by the Isley Brothers, reminds me of a memorable train journey with my Mum.
Summer the First Time by Bobby Goldsboro (is that the correct spelling?), oh so cheesy, and not a huge fan of the song but it ALWAYS makes me think of summer.
Hang on In There Baby, Johnny Bristol, more cheese.
Anything by Abba and Summer Love Sensation by the Rollers
Don't Look Back in Anger by Oasis, one of my all-time top five songs, love the line, "Step outside cos summertime's in bloom", as it's a reference to the 60s Summer of Love which produced loads of great summer songs.
