To assume I won't find a cheap Hoover that's good?!

I hope I am! I kicked my ex out start of this week he took my bloody Hoover with him and the tv! So I need a new Hoover, I had the vax air stretch ultimate and loved it! But it's £200 and I can't afford it ATM due to having to replace a load of stuff. Can anyone recommend to me a Hoover that has powerful suction and really pulls at the carpets? I have two young children so I really need the power!

Another vote for Henry. Bought one back in January and so far only changed the bag once, he sucks the carpet so hard that I have the valve on the hose open or I literally can't push the head forward.
All others I've had are good to start with but loose suction over time. Henry sucks as well as he did the first day I got him Grin

If you are in the NE, Argos have an outlet store thing at Stanley. I picked up a Vax for £25, bnib.

Miele Junior is £109 on Amazon. The suction on it is unbelievable. I feel like I've done a cardio work out by the time I've done my house - the carpet actually lifts. Fortunately you can control the suction strength - the reviews are really good on Amazon. Miele Junior

@sailorcherries I've just bought that one, £189 down to £99. When was it £69? I'm gutted now!

Seems like it's a bit of love hate with Henry, I did consider Henry but I don't like the long hose or having to change the bag

Ricecrispies we bought it on Wednesday afternoon. Online and in the book it was £99 but when we went in to the shop and entered the code it came out as £69.99!

Ricecrispies16 · 05/05/2017 16:05

Oh no I reserved it online before I collected it, perhaps I would have got it even cheaper if I'd have just gone in!

Miele.

Ours sucks that hard it pulls the carpet off the gripper rods if I put it on max. 10 years old, everything works like new and it has survived two sessions of building work.

Mike are so good, can get one for around £100

Henrys are a bit like marmite.

Fluffy Henry can be a pain in the arse when he falls over but it's so reassuring to have a hoover that isn't going to fall apart after 6 months. Every upright Hoover I've had, of varying costs, has been a load of crap.

Miele!

Hoover WindTunnel Air Steerable Upright Vacuum UH72400.
It is the lightest vacuum available and removes embedded dirt. It also works well on carpets and has three channels of suction. It is available at $129.

The next one with larger reviews is Hoover Vacuum Cleaner Anniversary WindTunnel Self Propelled Bagged Corded Upright Vacuum U6485900.
Its sensor turns green when no more dirt is to be removed from the floor and carpet. Vacuum available for $156.

Try to get Hoover with [[http://www.janitized.com/home/filter-bags/
vacuum cleaner bag]] as it is much better to use. Ensure they have HEPA technology. Therefore, it will be safe for the children too. Hoover vacuum filter bags are available in the market.
