to dislike all the political parties

I really don't know who to vote for. That in itself is depressing as there should surely be some hope that if such a party gets in things will improve but I have no such hope! Is anyone the same? What will you do?

I have my essay all planned 😉.

montgomerie I think you should vote on the basis of the issues that matter most to you and which you think will have the greatest impact on you and others.

I'm no longer voting in U.K. Elections but would vote for whomever opposes the Conservative Party in my area. The massive conservative majority does no one any favours. Regardless of the fact the other parties are just awful at the moment.

Do you know that's quite refreshing stripey. It's the way I was brought up to look at things too. Perhaps it is social media bringing the fringes into the mainstream but talk around politics seems far too histrionic now.

I genuinely feel at the moment that any choice I make would have negative impacts.

It looks like we both prefer a functioning democracy then Belle. History shows that democracy only works when people believe in and are engaged in it, which includes voting.

Montgomerie - I think that any choice you make would be very positive as you have clearly given it a lot of thought. You can only do the best you can with what is available. Bit late now for today's vote maybe!

On a more partisan note - fingers crossed for LibDem gains tonight!!
