It's not any who, it's any how. Does my nut. As you were.

I'm afraid I've taken to the MN anyhoo, I love it 😀

caz323 · 03/05/2017 16:18

I don't mind it either. Until I joined MN, I'd never heard of mahoosive - quite like that one aswell.

BorpBorpBorp · 03/05/2017 16:19

It's not any how, it's anyway.

Goldfishjane · 03/05/2017 16:21

It's not any who
It's anyhoo.
You've gotten it wrong
Grin

whatsthecomingoverthehill · 03/05/2017 16:24

It's just an affectation. In terms of crimes against English it ranks pretty low down.

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 03/05/2017 16:27

I like a good annnnnnnnyhooooooooooooo

Batgirlspants · 03/05/2017 16:29

Oh no much prefer anyhooo,

Boils my piss good too.

AceRag · 03/05/2017 16:39

It's not any how, it's anyway

This. Sorry OP.

Goldfishjane · 03/05/2017 16:50

annnnnnnnyhooooooooooooo

Actually that is the full correct spelling.

Should be preceded by "hell" and accompanied by an old fashioned in a tumbler.

SweetChickadee · 03/05/2017 16:50

yes anyway is right

anyhoo is much better though - more expressive

MrsFrisbyMouse · 03/05/2017 16:50

It's anyhoo. And it's in the Oxford Dictionary. (meaning informal - to get back on track) Good example of how language is a living developing thing.

Anyhoo - YABU

Littledidsheknow · 03/05/2017 17:07

I like "anyhoo", it's not an MN thing though.

TwitterQueen1 · 03/05/2017 17:11

Another yes for 'anyhoo'. Great to use in business meetings when the conversation gets derailed. Everyone stops talking and looks at you in a puzzled fashion, which means you can get back to the points that need to be discussed.

justgivemethepinot · 03/05/2017 17:15

I like anyhoo too I use it a lot.

horsemadgal · 03/05/2017 18:28

I could be wrong but I thought it was The Wiggles that started it.

JamesDelaneysHat · 03/05/2017 18:34

Is it a Ned Flanders-ism?
