Very trivial! 'I won't eat it so neither can you'.

This is very trivial/unimportant but just wondering am I missing some very obvious logical reason behind it(before I go to the shops).
DH goes to shops today, I offer to go but told no need, just send a list. On it is wholemeal bread (for toast with proper salted butter on it). He arrives back with white, I ask if they didn't have what I asked for.

'Well I won't eat that one you want so I got this in case I want some'.

Is it not more normal to either buy both or just what I asked for since he just 'might' want toast?!
(33 wks pg so possibly irrational at my toast dreams being shattered and having to waddle for an hour to get to the shops and back).

My husband goes random sometimes. I once sent him to the shops for nachos bits, also late pregnancy. He couldn't find any so came home with dried olive crackers. I bloody hate olives. They sat in the cupboard, front centre, for about 2 years as a protest until I threw them out.

Oh gosh. :D
No, send him bag. Buying both? Sure. Just buying the bread he wants? No.

Bread now in freezer in preparation for accidently dropping on his bare foot

You are generous. When I was at craving stage I'd have been sorely tempted to leave lego bricks strategically placed for early morning bare feet.

It's not so very trivial. You are 33 weeks pregnant. You have a growing baby resting on your internal organs. You need to take care of your digestion & eat plenty of fibre/roughage not white bread that gums up your colon. Does your dh want you to get piles? Constipation in the last few weeks of pregnancy is a real issue.
Send him back out for wholemeal with a clear conscience. Wink

YANBU. DP and I sometimes have different bread choices and we can usually find a compromise if it's for a specific meal, but if I asked for something he didn't like (like rye bread), for me then he'd pick it up no question.
