AIBU to be a bit peeved that I seem to be growing a beard?

All of a sudden I have a variety of coarse and fine black hairs sprouting from my chin and neck. Not like an actual beard. There are probably twenty in total. But STILL. I am only 34. Why is this happening to me? Tweezing seems to cause ingrowing hairs and shaving just feels... wrong. I have so far managed to conceal my rampant facial hair from Mr Jam. Is it going to get worse? Am I going to be like a bearded lady in a Victorian show?

Mine grow back every night after taking a day or two to struggle to the surface. It's quite unsightly but I'm half Latin-American and not PCOS so have learnt to live with my bristle since a young age!

Only 34?

Ive had to deal with this since I was 16 or younger. PCOS.

I'd love to have had freedom until 34 or an extra 18 years to not deal with it

I find wax doesn't pull mine out as they are made of steel Sad I've stupidly started shaving them off.

Shaving off will not be a disaster. Some people are under the false impression that shaving makes them grow back stronger, but that's not the case. They just appear to be more as they are all cut off at skin level so all grow back together.

Plucked hairs take longer to push up through the epidermis and reach it at different stages. Also you almost never get all the hairs out by plucking (unless you wax) and do a few grow through each day.

Persevere with the wand, the tweezers and a good mirror if you can. ,

I'm only 23 and I seem to have a neck beard starting, I'd have been happy to wait til I was 34 lol. Could be pcos like others have said though. My gp thinks I have it but hasn't suggested actually getting checked Hmm
