To go to a walk in centre

I've got tonsillitis and am sure it's bacterial as I have had this before and have white spots all over my tonsils. Feel awful, struggling to swallow and as I am 17 weeks pregnant I'm feeling even more miserable!

AIBU to consider going to a walk in centre for this? Don't think I can wait for treatment until Tuesday at the earliest, or do I just need to shut up and deal with it until then?! Hate going to any kind of walk in and wasting their and my time (if they won't prescribe antibiotics)

Thanks Tiny, think I will do that. Ice lollies are providing a huge relief at the moment but I can't eat a box of ten 😂

Difflam is the spray shouldn't be taken before eating and drinking relieves pain quite well not sure about use in pregnancy

Of course you can

If you're struggling to swallow fluids you need to be seen again.

Venus I told them that this morning, they suggested the ice lollies or ice chips, they weren't concerned as I was getting some fluids down

Poor thing you must be miserable. Hope you see a dr tomorrow and get some decent medication. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy, hope you don't get tonsillitis again

Finally got antibiotics!!! Called 111 this morning, first dr's app wasn't until 5 today but just managed to get them before the pharmacies all closed! Bring on feeling better as I'm struggling!
