To think that it's okay to leave my DS in the car?

DS is 12. Shoot me if you like but I regularly leave him in the car outside petrol stations or when I go into a shop.

The way I see it is that he gets the bus home from school by himself, I sometimes leave him at home if I go to the local shops, send him to the shop for me, he also walks the dog with friends. Yet apparently I shouldn't leave him in the car outside a shop!Hmm

You wouldn't leave a 12 year old for more than a minute?

Sleepdeprivedredhead · 29/04/2017 15:59

12! Grin does he even notice you're not in the car in the time it takes to go in the shop? do a whole christmas shop if my 11 year old is anything to go by. My dd wouldn't get her head out of a book long enough. I am contemplating not telling her we're home one day and seeing how long she'd stay in the car on the drive.

I assume you are talking about under a minute or so. Not a problem in my view. Confused

If he was 2 she would have a point but he's 12 ffs.
