I knew it was unbelievably difficult and I've only watched the box set of the West Wing!
If it's too much work, maybe he should let someone else have go?

One of the hardest things I've done, work-wise, was admit to a manager that a task was beyond my capability. However I saw it as a sign of my maturity and competence that I could admit it rather than struggle on and make a right mess. Trump is making a mess because he can never admit he isn't 'winning'.

seoulsurvivor · 29/04/2017 02:59

That has to be one of the most mind-boggling things I've ever read.

TheDowagerCuntess · 29/04/2017 03:19

Absolutely Claws.

Trump made a whole heap of wild-eyed campaign promises in order to get elected.

He grossly exaggerated his abilities at best; lied at worst.

It was patently obvious to all who didn't want a bar of him that he wouldn't be able to come up with a decent alternative to Obamacare, he wouldn't be able to build a wall that Mexico would pay for (FFS - most illegal immigrants fly to the US, surely - what use is a damn wall? I thought it was some sort of metaphor initially, but no, it was an actual wall Confused), etc.

It was obvious that he wouldn't be able to carry out those promises.

Now he's realising how hard it is, and his base just keep on believin'. Surely it's going to implode soon.

That's why he is poking that fat kid in Korea with a sharp stick.

Laiste · 29/04/2017 09:07

''I thought it would be easier'' - Mr.Trump.

There's the slogan for the next campaigner Grin

thedcbrokemybank · 29/04/2017 09:11

The sad thing is that despite the fact he lied and is obviously completely incapable, his fan base still believe he is awesome.

Chippednailvarnishing · 29/04/2017 09:14

I actually thought he had winner's regret from day one.

EatSpamAmandaLamb · 29/04/2017 09:15

It's almost like making decisions for 300 million people might be, I don't know....a responsibility of some kind.
I think he showed the role none of the respect nor appreciated the gravitas from the day he put his hat in the ring.
Stupid, stupid, stubborn man.

originalbiglymavis · 29/04/2017 09:39

I suspect he's had it like that since childhood.

Pin the tail on the donkey at little Donald's birthday parties probably had the staff moving the picture to his pin, panyatas lowered onto his stick, pass the parcel rigged to that the music always stopped at him every time...

He probably had just realised that everything has just been handed to him on a plate with minions scurrying around fixing the mess he leaves behind, reminding him how awesome he is and telling everyone else what a winner he is.

Or maybe he lost the egg and spoon race in kindergarten and never got over it ("I'll show them - I'll show 'em all when I'm in charge of the country!"). Watch out for him banning school sports days. Mark my words...
