Several of her friends have them. But I am convinced they are bad for growing bones and posture and gait etc. Am I, as dd tells me, the meanest mummy in the world?

"MyPatronusIsAUnicorn resorting to the 'f' word. That's classy!"

I hope your holier than thou attitude keeps you warm. Personally I quite like to use the word FUCK sorry 'f' word when there are no children around and it's perfectly safe to do so.

Blimey. Who knew? Dd3 has had 2 pairs. She is 9 now. She loves them. Funnily enough she wears school shoes most of the time, followed by trainers. She gets a lot of fun out of them. Some of that fun us having what her peers have. Cant see that she has developed problems with her gait. But whatever

When we lived in Ireland 10 years ago they were banned in shopping centres and supermarkets because of the number of accidents they caused

They are a menace in shops, I find it interesting that parents that are happy to let their kids treat shops as playgrounds can never see how unreasonable they are

For me the only wheels that should be in use in a supermarket are the ones on trollies

I've had a few near misses with children who's parents feel that the rules don't apply to them, I have hidden disabilities which are affected by moving to avoid these children who are 'only having fun' when I'm 'only shopping'

In a park I make a choice but I shouldn't need to in a supermarket or shopping centre, there's a clue in the name for the activity pursued in the place
