So, we are having a party.

It's a general celebration (both me and DH turned 40 in last few years/wedding anniversary a decade on/a general celebration that we are still standing, undefeated by life's little ups and downs.

It's kind of a thank you as well, to people who have helped us as a family when times have been tough.

It will be a mix of friends young and old, mix of generations.

We need to give suggestions for playlist to our friendly DJ in the next week - so...what are your top dancing tunes to keep the floor filled? I like soul/funk but I'm not genre fussy. Cheese is fine by me, but please god no Robbie Williams (AIBU??)

I'd love to send everyone off with memories of a happy night on the dance floor. Come and help me do just that.

We recently had a party for our DS1's 18th and were surprised that most of the kids there wanted all the 80's and 90's hits that we grew up with. Dexy's Midnight Runners Come On Eileen, Kaiser Chiefs Ruby were very popular; I'm trying to remember what else they requested.
Stuff like ABC's Poison Arrow or Heaven 17's Temptation are great too, as everyone can remember the words & actions.
Can I request this gets moved to classics as it would be a great help for anyone planning a party in the future!
