Christmas Party

I KNOW it's April. Please let me explain.

My DD is turning 10 in May.

I told her a story (may out me) about 2006, when I celebrated Christmas in May. I was in a refuge during December, and swore I wouldn't celebrate Christmas until I was settled, etc.

She was fascinated! She's asked for a "Christmas party like yours" since she was old enough to ask.

So, this year I'm doing it as a surprise for her. I know her two BF's moms, and they're on board, and have promised not to breathe a word.

We have a restaurant booked for two hours. Thinking of arranging the kids (4 10yo, and DS, who is 5) two hours before.

What games do I organize? Also, I could do with a few anack/drink ideas, which won't spoil their curry appetites?

She wants a purple cake. (I make cakes). How do I incorporate her cake into the theme?

I actually tried to find selection boxes, but none could deliver quickly enough!

Does anyone know if I can get jars of mincemeat this time of year?

Mincemeat is currently available in my Tesco's for 95p a jar.

Sounds like you will have a fabulous time. 🎉🎉🎉🎉

This sounds amazing! Purple birthday cake-could you make it look like a giant bauble? All sparkly! Hope you have a wonderful time Smile

Astro55 · 02/05/2017 12:42

Tinsel for hair and head

BrieAndChilli · 02/05/2017 12:52

Approved food have mincemeat as well as chocolate tree decorations

Birdsgottaf1y · 02/05/2017 12:57

Are they to young for a Jack Skeleton, Nightmare before Christmas themed cake?

Purple and gold go well, so a square cake, 'wrapped' in a gold ribbon, is simple.

Tiddler7 · 02/05/2017 13:05

AllRoads nothing helpful on party front, but I just had to say I love your nick. New episode from tomorrow on Netflix Grin

KatyBerry · 02/05/2017 13:50

this sounds amazing. YOu have to get the restaurant to play Now! Christmas as well - Fairytale of New York in MAY. Fantastic.

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 02/05/2017 14:04

Any ideas on little nibbly bits which won't fill me them up too much to enjoy the curry?

CurlyMango · 02/05/2017 19:19

We did a spy game, which might work for you. Got red wool and tied on bells, then stung this up in zig zags etc if different heights. Kids went through it, we did it on the landing and tried to get through without ringing the bells. They loved it. But could be an easy Christmas bell game.

CurlyMango · 02/05/2017 19:21

And food wise it's got to be pigs in blankets....
