We went there today. We came back today. I'm sad that I couldn't cope with it, for the sake of my children. It was supposed to be
a three night stay.
Does anybody have an experience of Pontins?

If it's any consolidation I've just remembered that one of my friends got a job as a cleaner at Pontins in her teens, fainted from the sheer horror of it and had to be rushed to hospital!!

Ex DH had taken two DCs there one year Camber Sands Pontins , and I spent a day and night there . Whole place seemed to be "on edge" at the time and I am going back a good 16 years or so now

For the sake of three days, could you seriously not have sucked it up?! You say it was freezing. So what?! The weather's hardly the fault of the owners, is it?!
As for the cleanliness of the nightclub rooms you mention. Are you sleeping in there?Or just watching the occasional show and letting the kids having a disco dance/party game play in there?
As a massive difference.
What was your actual level of cleanliness in your chalet/room?
Pontins is great if you expect entertainment, and aren't too hung up on things being "modern." It's 1970s type build and decor. So what?
We've had many a lovely holiday there, and recently too.Always been clean as well.

Don't ever go there the one in Southport is just up the road from me looks like a prison from the outside so if the outside looks run down shit and grim I dread to think what the inside looks like no way in this life time am ever stepping foot in the place to find out I would rather have a weeks holiday in Walton jail

So you've never actually gone there you're just going by what the outdoor decor looks like never mind like what it may or may not be like on the actual inside after all hey you should always judge a book by its cover you have a holiday in a jail instead then if you think it may be preferable
Jeez that hurt me to write as all one paragraph

Went to the camber sands one last year with dc and sister and her dc.

Awful bloody place. I am no holiday snob, butlins is posh to me but this place is next level awful.

The room was filthy, we had to scrub it top to bottom. Wardrobe was hanging of the wall. Fire alarm was hanging from a wire from the ceiling at face height.

You have to pay for electric and our metre was broken so it kept going off.

We went to complain and there was a massive queue of people all complaining.

At least twenty people. The staff attitude was awful. Basically we don't care. Loads of people just went home.

I have just came back from the Lowestoft pontins. Massive differences in parks.
Simple and basic but clean!

Food was basic and like school dinners but it was 160 Mon to Fri with breakfast and dinner included.

It's right on a cliff as well so lovely sea views as you eat.

The park used to have direct access to the beach but the bit of the cliff has crumbled.

The staff were lovely especially the blue coats.

The difference between the parks is shocking. I would never set foot in the camber sands one again.
