I'm really fed up with being told that it looks like I'm wearing pyjamas, people joking that I haven't bothered to get dressed today etc.!

AIBU to wear this type of short out of the house? It's 33 degrees where I am currently.

I hate denim shorts, they're bloody uncomfy!

If I was in my teens or 20s with amazing tanned toned legs then yes but I am 38 and wouldn't feel comfortable wearing them now. My 7 year old has a similar pair she sleeps in.

NervousNellie29 · 19/04/2017 20:50

I would!!! They look so cute!!!

museumum · 19/04/2017 20:53

They're the shorts version of tracky bottoms so limited appropriateness imo. Park, exercise, local shop, home, garden, errands.
Not work, high street shopping, pub or restaurant.

Kittykatmacbill · 19/04/2017 21:00

When I was 17 yes, as a 37 year old I do have similar ones as hot weather pjs I would not wear them out of the house.

Mrsglitterfairy · 19/04/2017 21:13

I don't have the legs or confidence for these but if you do then crack on, I like them

Knittedfrog · 19/04/2017 21:15

My dd has just got some of them to go on holiday with.

pinkiponk · 19/04/2017 21:18

I would, I have a similar pair (different brand) :)

TroysMammy · 19/04/2017 21:18

Hollister. Whenever I see this word I always think of Hollister leg bags and leg straps. Items for people with bladder and bowel problems. Sorry.

pardrej · 19/04/2017 21:20

Well they are the short equivalent of sweatpants aren't they. I would wear them for comfort maybe if I popped out somewhere very low key and at home but I wouldn't expect anyone to take them seriously as clothes or to consider me dressed.

MaisyPops · 19/04/2017 21:21

I'd wear them. They're definitely lounge wear/athletic wear but then I also wear yoga pants and leggings out and about.

Stuff like this is fine for chilling, messages/errands. But not for much more than that.

gingertigercat · 19/04/2017 22:39

They have identical shorts in primark for £2.50 if you want to try them out on the cheap

DoNotBlameMeIVotedRemain · 19/04/2017 22:41

Is your backside hanging out. That would explain the comments...

Bluntness100 · 19/04/2017 22:44

I have the grey ones they are kinda pyjama house shorts, I wouldn't wear them out, no.

ohnothisisme · 19/04/2017 23:36

No my butt isn't out Donot. Grin They're quite long shorts I think Blush
