So far on Twitter I have seen that today Trump had to be given a nudge by Melania to put his hand over his heart for the national anthem and that when a kid gave him a hat to sign Trump signed it and then chucked the poor kids hat into the crowd. He is clearly not with it at all!

And back in the UK we can all stop worrying about brexit as the government is hard at work ensuring we can all get a coffee while we wait for 8 hours in A&E for one of the few remaining doctors.

This is no joke. The morning the Brexit result was announced I was out with a group of friends, one of whom is a surgeon at our local teaching hospital. She said bitterly: "well, there go the Spanish theatre nurses we just spent the last 6 months recruiting. None of them will want to give up jobs back home to come here now with this uncertainty hanging over them!"

I know mortifico. I am totally that the government seem to think ensuring we have plenty of baristas is the biggest priority when when we are set to lose nurses, care workers, nursery staff,...and the list goes on. I waver in my sympathy for Melania. On one hand she had to have known that she was marrying an egotistical prick. On the other hand I expect that she felt she'd be able to 'manage' the time she actually had to spend with him to keep it to a bare minimum. She never banked on the public scrutiny she'd be subject to as FLOTUS nor that she would have to tolerate being in his presence so much to keep up appearances.

But 'you pays your money and you takes your chances' when you choose to marry a rich man whether it's for love or money, so suck it up Buttercup. Paste that happy wife smile on your face and wave at the crowds. With any luck it'll only be for another year or so. (Good Lord wiling and the creek don't rise)

I don't have much sympathy. She knew him for years. She even knew him by reputation before they met. She could have got put years ago but chose not to.

Ok so she isn't exactly a cheerleader for the orange oaf but if my other half did or said a millionth if what he does, I'd be having strong words and make him apologise like a naughty schoolboy (in the locker room).
