To think that finding an ingrown hair is just awesome.

And so, so satisfying.

Not the sporny type that gets all swollen and pusy(sp?). I just mean when you think "that's a bit raised", and then out comes this centimetre long curled up hair Grin

I just found one under my arm.

Yesterday I found one on my ankle, which was even better, as more unexpected.

It's been a good few days.

I'm not alone, am I?

(and yes, I should exfoliate more).

Many years ago I worked as a Beauty Therapists

Many ecstatic hours squeezing spots, blackheads, blocked pores and ingrowing hairs. One client had an i growing hair under her arm I gently squeezed it and out popped the hair so I started to gently pull with the tweezers it was 5cm long what joy it bought to both I and my client wonders if she has fond memories of this

YADNBU. My utter fave. Bloody love an ingrown hair.
When dh was clean shaven, now and again there would be a little bump on his neck with a black hair starting to poke through. If I squeezed it, a gigantic, thick plug of hair would come out.

I think about it more often than I should! BlushGrin

Ooohhhh they sound awesome, I love making dh lie down and getting the tweezers and pulling his ingrown hairs out or spots, once I found a black head that was a bit bigger than average and I got the tweezers and pulled and the tail was so bloody long it was like a tadpole!!!!

Oooh once I Had an itchy ear, and messing with it I felt a long hair, I pulled it and with a satisfying pop! A little ball of wax came loose out of my ear canal and attached to the hair! It felt bloody lovely , not sure how that managed to get in there but there you go!

How do you know when you've got one Blush. I've had a smallish (5mm?) reddish thing on my shin for a couple of years that I think might be one - it can't be squeezed but bleeds if I catch it with the razor. Might I be in luck?

I've never had one longer than an inch. I'm missing out! The ear hair does sound amazing.

Somewhere, if I were you, I'd get a sewing needle and stick that in it and see if you can 'hook' it underneath a loop of hair and tease it out.

Wow it's not just me! I have a spot under my arm where the hair always gets ingrown and I purposefully let the hair grow for a few weeks so I can get in at it with tweezers. Grin

I somehow managed to birth the hairiest boy in the world (assume he got it from my Dad). He's also a willing spornee.
He will appear with sharp needle and tweezers and point to deep blue lines running across his wookie esque chest. They can be three inches long on a good day.
He left home for a while to live with a GF, plans to move out again over the summer. I WILL NOT STAND FOR IT!

I strangely agree, I don't mind the ones that go to the next stage, sudocrem is a great healer.

I've got diabetes so I've had a few issues, I can handle my own and the kids grim stuff, it doesn't bother me.

I picked a bit of dry skin from somewhere, a load of blood mankind came out. It didn't bother me at all.

When sunbathing I noticed a deepish black mark on my knee, I gave it a little squeeze and a perfectly formed while blob popped out with a hair inside. It was like a little marble. I had a perfectly find little hole (no blood). It was a thing of beauty.
This needs to be on sporners corner!

I had the best one ever.

I had an annoying ingrown hair in my bikini area from waxing, for bloody months. It was a big, raised sore bump that I just couldn't do anything with, despite several attempts.

So one night, I tried it again and bingo! Not only did lots of pus come out but...no word of a lie....so did a pube that had grown to over 6 inches long! I'd literally never seen anything like it. I was almost tempted to keep it.

My teenage cousins get massive blackheads in their ears. They love coming to visit cos i spend ages clearing em out. Love it lol

No no no to using tweezers fgs! Two thumbnails pushed together with the lump inbetween is the only thing to do. Works every time no mess love it!

It's such a guilty pleasure. I had a scab on my chin that just would not heal. After a few weeks I felt the need to de-scab (I love scabs) and with it came a 2 inch bright ginger thick hair. It healed quickly after that.

Ooh when I was 11 outside the art block waiting for a lesson I had an itchy ear, had a poke and this massive plug of wax came out. I remember it fondly. I'm now 33.
