to think Hopkins is too right wing and alt-right for even the Daily Mail given her views on the gas attack

Her recent tweets have been full on conspiracy theory. She's convinced that the gas attack was a conspiracy not done by Assad. She's tweeting about the White Helmets and using #Syriahoax. She's surprised Trump has fallen for it and has reacted the way it has.

Full on alt-right. It's her view - I'm just surprised that the Daily Mail wants to be associated with someone who has such an extreme view on this. I know she holds many controversial views and they still employ her - but this is full on alt-right conspiracy view.

There were plans for regime change and mass destabilization throughout the Middle East (and the West) well before 2001. Read 'Rebuilding America's Defenses' published by the Project for a New American Century in September 2000. These plans are simply being enacted. She's probably right.

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) said Friday she was "skeptical" that Syrian leader Bashar Assad's regime was behind the chemical attacks - does that make her a member of the 'alt.right'?

Many people have expressed doubts - it's not a view solely of the alt.right.

I'm genuinely interested in what it is about this woman that makes everyone care so much about what she has to say.

I don't think it's that they care, she's just that used to saying the most outrageous things that many people will go 'oh I wonder what KH thinks' and clicks on her feed.

I was quite astonished as the BBC had, until Trump's missile strike, been 100% "Assad did it

That may be because he had form, the gas attack in 2013 was proven to be categorically of Assad's doing.

This - this is Hopkins who thinks Trump is the best thing ever attacking Syria who Hopkins also supports in their actions after having informed Russia - who Hopkins also seems to support.

I wondered how she would feel about that.

She isn't click bate for the Fail. My dad reads the Mail (taken with a large pinch of salt) and would seriously not give the woman the time of day

Lostpangolin · 09/04/2017 08:45

She sells, and publicizes more sales for the mail, that's her role IMO. I was pleased to see her lose a court case recently tho.

ClarkWGriswold · 09/04/2017 08:45

Argh! she IS click bate

Yes - but I am sure there are some commentators the Mail wouldn't touch with a barge pole. Whose opinions are even too strong and alt-right for them

Is this her moment to go too far and to get dropped by the Daily Mail?
