To ask you to talk me out of buying a new roomba.

I really want one, old Dyson is on its last legs and the Roomba looks amazing. But the lastest model is sooooo much money.

Dh thinks I'm insane for considering paying £800 for a vacuum cleaner but I'm so tempted.

Are there any regretful Roomba buyers out there who can talk me out of it?

Thatwouldbe - you do know the cordless dyson lasts longer if you don't have the max button illuminated, don't you?
But it is great and skinny enough to get under furniture easily.

I've the 630 and I love it. Worth every penny!

All this is doing is making me want a hand held Dyson and a Roomba. Not even I'm daft enough to do that.

I currently brush the edges of the carpet (carpet is upstairs only) with a stiff brush to get the fluff out every few weeks. I'm ok to keep doing that with a Roomba.

And I love mine. Would replace it instantly if it broke. We are three years in and all is well. There are four of us, a cat and a mix of floor types.

£800?????

I bought a £70 vileda one- it's brilliant. Ok, so it sounds like a cheap remote control car, and clearly won't last forever- but would a roomba do £730 more stuff?

Mine is excellent on tiled floors, especially in our hall where we have quite deep grooves between each tile. I put it on when I do the school run every day and it does the hall, kitchen, downstairs loo etc if I leave the doors open. I do the landing carpet as its old but it doesn't cope well on fluffy carpets. I then only have to vacuum properly once a week rather than hoovering up crumbs every day.

I made a point of using it regularly after being told I would never use it. It really is good.
Perhaps try a cheaper one before you commit to a roomba?

Sorry but love ours too!

It's not the main Hoover but keeps on top of the fluff etc in the bedrooms - it's amazing how much it picks up!

Maybe have a look on eBay - you can see from this thread some people buy and it's not for them so there must be loads of the older models up for sale

Tubbyinthehottub No, I thought the max circle was a sticker/pretty light thing to look impressive Blush But thank you! Grin
