Piano practice times

The family in the flat adjoining ours have three children who do half an hours piano practice each starting at 9.30pm. Aibu to find this really annoying? Child no2 plays When the Saints about ten times, now they are on scales! Ffs, it's a digital anyway - shall I ask them to wear headphones?

I think you could reasonably ask for headphones or reduced volume after 10pm.

A bit late. I think anything after 10 is not on (&I say that as the mum of a very serious pianist)

I think 9.30 is much too late for piano. That would wake my children up.

I totally agree that 9pm is far too late for music lessons.
My daughter has guitar lessons twice a week at 6pm for 45 mins.
It doesn't make any sense to me why they would start practising or having lessons at such a late time.
A reputable tutor would not offer a child music lessons at that time of night.

I think the op is talking about practice rather than lessons.
9.30 - 11 is a ridiculous time for them to practise.

As a piano teacher I would be horrified. Way too late to concentrate properly. And yes, massively antisocial. 10pm is my latest cut off and even then I prewarn neighbours.

I have a piano player too and a regular upright piano. 9:30pm is way too late!

Thanks! Yes I was talking about practice not lessons. I will have a word. I think they probably don't realise how loud it is.
