My DS is nearly 3 and has a skin tag on his ear (see pic) it doesnt bother him or anyone really but im so aware of how cruel kids can be and want it to be removed before school. (My mum had the same skin tag in the same place and is pretty traumatised by the bullying she recieved about it at school)
The removal procedure is deemed as cosmetic by the NHS so i would be paying for it privately.

Im just worried that IABU and i should be setting an example that physical features dont matter?

Aibu to get DS skin tag removed?

Pay the cash and get it done. He's too young to go through the pain of a home made procedure Sad

Skin tag removal with cotton only works for skin tags with a very very thin base where it attaches to the body.
Do not do this with this tag, it's too big at the base.

If you are getting it removed then get it done professionally.

I would completely do the same. We all want to protect our dc from being picked on by their peers. Chances are he would want removed when he hits the teen years anyhow.

@Mtierney96 can I ask what happened, did you get the tag removed? My 6 year old daughter has one virtually the same as your son. She's starting to get comments in it. And I don't want her to be bullied.
