To ask your opinion on my child's weight?

My 6.9 year old weighs 2 stones 12. I'm worried they may be underweight. She eats plenty but is looking a bit thin at the moment. She was 25th centile for height and weight last time it was checked by the nurse but its been about a year and a half.

My dd last weighed at 4years was Just over 2stone she was an sga baby and always followed her line she is just small overall but perfectly in proportion for her. She's 5 now and in age 3-4 for school clothes mainly but she's had her nurse check at school that came back healthy weight/bmi anymore weight on her and to be honest she would look chubby. Not everyone is made the same even as an adult personally on me much more than 8stone and I look like I need to lose weight.

Sounds ok to me.

That's about 18kg. An average 6 year old would be approx 20 kg, so if she's on the small side for her age weight would match up.

Does she look ok? Plenty of energy, eats well etc? Anything else that you're concerned about? Without that context weight is pretty much a random number.

DS is 6.3 yrs and about 2st 10 or 11. He's a little shorter compared to most of the boys in his class (wears age 4-5) but has caught up since the start of reception. He eats well (and burns it off) and is very healthy. I can't remember the last time he had something more than a minor cold, and hasn't needed a day off school yet. Back in his food allergy days, he followed just under the 25th centiles consistently despite a higher birthweight. The dieticians were happy and he's maintained a similar build since then.

I was 18kg when I was 6 years old. My Mum said I was very skinny. My nearly 6 years old dd is 22.5 kg. She is just wright but she is very tall wearing 8 years old clothes. Does your dd eats well?

Ds is also 6.9 he is 18.4 kg and 107 cm (4th centile weight, 0.2 centile height) he is monitored by a dietician because he has a restricted diet, and tends to lose weight. I think as long as you notice if she lacks energy or seems to be losing weight, she is ok.

Im suprised kids grow so little, my 3.5yr old is around 17kgs and a healthy bmi.
