To not let ds keep his present from our au-pair?

Our lovely au-pair gave ds a present for his 7th b-day: a real dartboard. With real darts. I also have a dd(4) and a dd(9). I'm hesitant to let him play with it. Am I being precious?

What happened when our mate lost an eye was one brother was jumping up and dow n on the bed whilst the other threw darts at the board! Glass eye since the age of 7. Best not to place the board at the end of the bed. Of course.

No Darts are very dangerous
Our neighbour, as a child, lost an eye when her older brother & sister & their friends were playing darts & one ended in her eye, making her blind in that eye.

I and my brother played darts as children. We used to like throwing them at each other, mostly in anger. Please do take it away or supervise playing very closely. I am astonished my brother and I sustained nothing worse than scratches as we were definitely aiming to kill. Perhaps we were just v bad at darts.
