Yes I am fully aware of the melting pot that is Transgender, but I did belly-laugh at this so thought I'd share
So AIBU ?

But look on the bright side
"The baby" the ballerina is feeding is gender non binary.

RebelRogue · 18/03/2017 23:01

. (we may not be 16 anymore.....)

Don't you dare say that!!

ProfessorBranestawm · 18/03/2017 23:01

I'd not seen this kind of thing before, nobody on my FB has shared them so I didn't know it was a Thing.

I found it funny.

The only thing I'm offended by is the rogue apostrophe in the ultrasound one :o

justdontevenfuckingstart · 18/03/2017 23:12

Rebel my daughter was 20 two days ago.

I am in my head still reading Smash Hits and dancing around to EMF and loving The Cure.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 18/03/2017 23:34

I've only ever seen this discussed on MN.

Did make me laugh though. Thousands of years of evolution and we're supposed to forget gender in minutes.

saniner · 18/03/2017 23:47

I laughed! And the context makes it funnier!

SpookyPotato · 19/03/2017 03:53

I love these. And the 'triggered' ones Grin

BeyondUnderthinking · 19/03/2017 08:34

And of course, good old Stan and Loretta...

flumpsnshit · 19/03/2017 09:04

Oh beyond that's brilliant I forgot about Stan and loretta.
Dd1 is 13 and it's the thing at the moment to talk about Confused

OP posts:
ladyballs · 19/03/2017 09:38

I love Stan and Loretta.

SisterMoonshine · 19/03/2017 12:01

Love that skit!
You've gotta laugh.....

The80sweregreat · 19/03/2017 12:38

Both look like women to me!

HookandSwan · 19/03/2017 12:55

Haha OP that's is funny :D

Funnyonion17 · 19/03/2017 13:00

Seriously, i actually had a few people bitch at me on here after my abnormality scan as it only reveals the sex apparently, not the gender and i revealed i was having a girl. World's gone bloody bonkers.

BabychamSocialist · 19/03/2017 13:04

Yeah, I get it but it's not funny. Personally I don't find laughing about someone wanting to be inclusive of all genders, or someone struggling with their gender funny. You wouldn't assume someone's sexuality would you? Why do it with gender?

chanceofrain · 19/03/2017 13:24

Because, babycham, most of us can accurately identify a male or a female, and aren't making any assumptions about a person's personality or sexuality by doing so. People who think that personality traits negate their or others' biological reality are the ones embracing a regressive and frankly ridiculous position on this whole thing.

It has nothing to do with sexuality, except that linking it to the gay movement has made well meaning people think they have to pretend they no longer know whether the six foot bearded bloke chatting to them in a deep gravelly voice, Adams apple bobbing away, is a man or a woman. It's nothing like assuming who they'd be attracted to.

zukiecat · 19/03/2017 13:56

I don't understand the joke at all

I mean no offence and this is a genuine question borne out if curiosity

Are we not supposed to say boys/girls or male/female any more?

I do know someone whose child identifies as the opposite sex, but I don't understand all the ins and outs of it

Please don't jump on me, I genuinely don't know!
