to finally update you on my business name..

A while back I entered a desperate plea for help naming my business.. I just wanted to come back and update and say a HUGE thank you for all the incredible, thoughtful, clever names people came up with..

For those who were not on the initial thread, I produce decorative garden screens which are used for privacy, trellises or to try to hide unsightly parts of the garden. I was totally stuck and really had no idea what to "brand" them as.

In the end @Bipbopbee came up with SCREEN WITH ENVY and that's what I have gone with - THANK YOU!! 👏💐

Thank you all SO MUCH!!! The range of names was amazing - you've all got incredible talent. 👏👏👏👏👏👏

to finally update you on my business name..

They are lovely, just what I've been looking for! I hope your business thrives Smile

MissWritenow · 18/03/2017 13:35

Awesome coincidence, I have "search online for outdoor panels/screening - B&Q? Amazon?" on a note on my fridge right now! Could you pm me your website address please? Thank you :) And yeah that's a really great name! Grin

caz323 · 18/03/2017 13:48

Beautiful screens and a FANTASTIC name. I love it!

Does 'Bipbopbee' know that she has actually named your business, OP? I would certainly love to know and would feel pretty chuffed too.

Wish you the very best of luck with your exciting new venture!

sparechange · 18/03/2017 13:52

Absolutely LOVE your products. You've filled a massive gap in the market

We are (hopefully) about to buy a house which needs a big garden makeover and I'll definitely be buying some of your screens - they are perfect

BuggerOffAndGoodDayToYou · 18/03/2017 13:52

Found your website very easily and then found it very easy to navigate.

You have a fantastic product and a fantastic name. This may be just what I need later in the year....

Good luck.

HelpP1ease · 18/03/2017 14:02

@JungleInTheRumble thank you - I will have to think if there is some elegant solution...

@magimedi yep I know exactly what you mean. They are actually real pictures of the screens and I just photoshopped out the background, thinking it would make them "clearer" but now they don't kind of look "real".. Urg.

@Yamadori in my dreams!! I looked at trying to exhibit this year but was too late, then I saw the cost of exhibiting... And lets just say I will have to sell well this year to afford it! BUT, I love Chelsea Flower Show and think it would be well worth the money... I love your username by the way Smile

@25bottles thanks so much!

@MissWritenow Yes of course!!

@ I am not sure! I tagged her/him (?) in this post and the original, was going to PM as well but didn't want to stalk/alarm him/her! I am very grateful though - so happy with the name!!

@sparechange ah thank you SO much, really kind words!

@BuggerOffAndGoodDayToYou thank you so much!

I'd like to be able to search by size and to have sizes in feet as well. Also I'd prefer cms than mms when you're dealing with large things.

Am I right the large is about 5 by 3ft? That doesn't seem very large to me.

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 18/03/2017 14:07

Have you thought about a display at Shrewsbury Flower Show?

Very popular show and undoubtedly cheaper than Chelsea.

HelpP1ease · 18/03/2017 14:09

@Sisinisawa good point - I will update immediately. I produce in two sizes. The large ones are indeed pretty large. 5.90551 feet tall x 2.95276 feet wide, (so almost 6 foot high, and 3 feet wide).

The larges ones are made to fit exactly half the size of a large UK fence panels, as some people like to use them to clad fences entirely as a feature wall type thing.

The medium ones are 1200 mm x 600 mm / 4ft x 2ft / 70.8 inches x 35 inches and these can be stacked horizontally to form larger screens or some clients use them as an individual "unique" trellis, or as a kind of piece of wall art.

Thank you for pointing that out - super useful.

@UntilTheCowsComeHome oh, no I hadn't - off to google that now!!

Rainbowshine · 18/03/2017 14:20

It may be worth looking into the county agricultural shows, we go to the Berkshire one and there's lots of garden furniture and adornments. I am assuming it would be cheaper than Chelsea!

HelpP1ease · 18/03/2017 14:31

@Rainbowshine definitely - its a great idea!

I'm glad you came back & updated us 😊 I think you should PM bipbopbee it's not at all stalkers & it's easy to miss threads.

I love the name. Once I'd got my stupid iPad to stop correcting it.

(Apologies to our lovely MagiMedi) It's obvious you need to tap/click on them for more info, so I wouldn't clutter up the page with anything else.

Obviously a few more designs would be great. I'd quite like large flowers...

I'd need to go searching for this information if I was thinking of buying - so if it's already there, it's fine, but it wasn't immediately obvious.

How long are they guaranteed to last?

How heavy they are?

Can you get them in custom made sizes? Colours?

Is there a discount for multiple screens?

As I said, the info might be there, but I'd need to go and look for it.

I love them as much now as I did when you first posted about them. Sadly I can't buy any for this house, but I'll definitely recommend them to friends etc and when we move I'll definitely be in touch!

The very best of luck! 🥂🍾

juls1888 · 18/03/2017 15:39

These are gorgeous. You need to attend Gardening Scotland and/or the Highland Show.....You can almost write your own blank cheques for garden items at those shows!

ShowMePotatoSalad · 18/03/2017 15:42

This is so inspiring! Congratulations on your business and I hope you thrive FlowersStar

HelpP1ease · 18/03/2017 16:03

@AnnieAnoniMouse thank you! I remember you from the first thread! All good feedback I will try to make it all more obvious.

@juls1888 I will look into those for sure! I also looked at Chelsea Flower show and the cost made is prohibitive, but then I guess its worth it for vendors as there is such a crowd.

@ShowMePotatoSalad thank you so much!

Hi screens look fab! Please can you PM me tour website?

camtt · 18/03/2017 22:13

I really like the screens! I would like to have more information about whether they are easy to put up, I am just terrible at that kind of thing and would put me off buying something I then might not be able to use. I would also like to know something about the screens, where are they from etc

HelpP1ease · 19/03/2017 07:53

@AllDaBoats thank you! Have just emailed you :-)

@camtt thank you so much. All good points. There is a "How to install" page on the website, is that clear enough, or you needed more detail? I just drill them into whatever surface they are attaching to, as they are a wood composite I attach them as I would do a wood trellis. But it would be good to know if I should be making that more obvious on the website.

Thank you again everyone for your kind feedback - super helpful!

I remember your first post! These look incredible. All the very best!!!

@TenMinutesLate thank you so much, and for the instagram follow! I am just starting out there and still learning the ropes!!

Just googled and you're about 3 down, after the companies house sites. Hopefully traffic from us will push it higher!

Also, looking forward to ordering something from you soon, we have a horrible urban yard which we're looking to spruce up for the summertime - definitely bookmarking your page as this is the exact thing I've been looking for 👍🏻

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 19/03/2017 09:38

Followed you on insta as well Smile

Lapinlapin · 19/03/2017 09:44

Wow, I love the screens and the website is gorgeous!

Can I just ask - you said you did it all yourself. Do you mean the text /pictures etc, or did you actually do the whole website on your own? If so, I'm really impressed.

(Just wondering, as I really need to get round to doing a website at some point and yours looks so professional)

HelpP1ease · 19/03/2017 13:44

@FeliciaJollygoodfellow amazing - hopefully it gets a bit higher! That's exactly why I made them in the first place. We are totally and completely overlooked with a tiny patio garden and really wanted something that would easily transform the space but give a bit of privacy!

And thank you for the follow!

@Lapinlapin yes I did it all myself Blush But it did take SO much longer than I had thought. I posted here about the name like 2 months ago and I thought it would take me about a week to do the copy writing etc.. How wrong was I!! Everything just took much longer and even now I see a lot of fault in it. But I hope it proves successful. What business are you in? Please PM me if you want any more details about how I set the site up etc.
