What do you think of the name for a little boy?

OP posts:
RatOnnaStick · 16/03/2017 07:03

Schwartzenegger. Sorry.

statetrooperstacey · 16/03/2017 07:09

My friend has one, it really suits him, there are now 2 others, ( who stole it!Grin)

HebeBadb · 16/03/2017 07:10

I nearly called my son Arnaud so i like it

Popskipiekin · 16/03/2017 07:12

What about something similar like Harold or Howard - Harry/Howie?

Herhighness · 16/03/2017 07:15

Both names are great for a boy, friend of a friend recently had a baby boy and he is Reginald known as Reggie. Frank is a good boys name too.
Good luck.

Ehsamy · 16/03/2017 07:15

Dislike intensely.

PseudoBadger · 16/03/2017 07:25

He'll always be back

FKat2016 · 16/03/2017 07:54

Don't like either, sorry Shock!

But lots of people didn't like the name I wanted for my son and I always feel annoyed that I entertained other people's opinions.

If you love the name, go for it.

JojoLapin · 16/03/2017 08:06

Arnold is really great. Love it. As FK says, you'll always get people who don't like your choice... Go for what you like.

DonaldStott · 16/03/2017 08:08

Synonymous with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Sorry.

pasturesgreen · 16/03/2017 08:11

I personally don't like either, sorry.

Babbaganush · 16/03/2017 08:14

Arnold is a popular surname in my area (and family).

purplemunkey · 16/03/2017 08:16

I like it. I had a friend called Arnold at university and always thought it was quite a cool name. Not deliberately quirky or 'unique' but uncommon nonetheless. I'd consider it for a future DS!

Purplebluebird · 16/03/2017 08:18

Afraid I don't like it.

Sandsnake · 16/03/2017 08:19

Arnold Rimmer. That is all.

Sunnysky2016 · 16/03/2017 08:22

Don't like it. However, it is what you think not others which matters.

Gojitters · 16/03/2017 08:25

It would have been my dd's name had she been a boy. Statistically it's very rare these days.

However, having a dd with an uncommon name (Xanthe) and having to repeat her name three times, correct mispronounciations and spell it almost EVERYTIME I introduce her to someone I don't think I can also face having a son where I have to say 'arnie, yes like schwarzenegger'.

SistersOfPercy · 16/03/2017 08:27

"Shut it football hhead " was the first thing that came to mind sorry.

Trifleorbust · 16/03/2017 08:29

"Rimmer. It was the way she said it. Rimmer. To rhyme with 'scum'."

"Arnold Judas Rimmer?"

Grin
sonlypuppyfat · 16/03/2017 08:34

Really don't like old man names

Willow2017 · 16/03/2017 09:39

"Get to ze chopper"😉

Seriously its your baby your choice. You decide if you can ignore the obvious associations and do whatever you want. Not my cup of tea too 'old mannish' for me but that's me not you.
