Seen on an Audi (child car seat free) parked in a Tesco P&C space...

Thought y'all would appreciate it Grin

Leggit if that's the case then ignore me! The ones round my way ( that I've noticed) seem to be standard sized compared to disabled bays.

Plot Twist:

Driver knew he was in the wrong but convenience of parking space overcame any morals, wrote note himself, tucked it behind his own wiper, in the hope that anyone about to accost him on his return noticed the point had already been made by another parent...

Thus he was spared uncomfortable confrontation.

tinkiiev · 12/03/2017 21:09

Sorry for disappearing! Had to drive home.

Well - I am v heartened to see that IAB totally U to think it must have been an MNer; everyone seems to think the note was way over the top. As do I obvs.

You just think - it's quite a long note and quite neatly written; at what point would you not just calm down and think "nah; it's not really that big of a deal"?

Update - brother confirms it was a very show-offy type of an Audi (S3); in his judgement more likely to be in the p&c space because belongs to some bozo worried about people opening their car doors onto his shiny car. (And not a parent with an older disabled/autistic child/removable infant car seat)

So the angry note reader was probably right about the Audi driver and his/her motivation/righteousness.

Maybe we should therefore cut the note writer some slack.

Although I still think the note is out of order.

was probably right has as much basis as the statement of being correct as the statement "was probably wrong" without any evidence the only thing that alters that logically is yours or your brother preconceived notions of Audi drivers

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 12/03/2017 23:10

I still think anyone who puts that kind of note for all to see on a car is a complete knob and wants to feel like they are so brave without actually speaking up - it's rather aggressive.

ZackyVengeance · 12/03/2017 23:15

Lol at op now saying note was out of ordef
Pmsl at how big that spade must be..

SomewhatIdiosyncratic · 12/03/2017 23:26

When I was little, there weren't child seats or rear seat belts. Baby was in a carry cot on the back seat. Cars were smaller and slimmer before the development of side impact protection, so less width was needed to get children in and out of the car. If there wasn't much width left, you could sit in the boot Grin

Housequeen101 · 13/03/2017 00:17

I have blacked out windows in the back so if anyone was to go to the trouble of checking my car for a car seat they wouldn't be able to see one and if I come back to that note I'd laugh. I seem to be the minority that doesn't think the notes that bad, the mum ( or whoever wrote the note) might have been having such a shity day and took all they're aggression out on the Audi. That said, I can't stand people who do things like this instead of just speaking to them face to face

"Update - brother confirms it was a very show-offy type of an Audi (S3); "

You wot? An S3 is not out of the ordinary.

And is that a satnav mount in the windscreen? Can't be very flash if it doesn't have builtin satnav.

SparkleSunshine201 · 13/03/2017 05:33

The note writer is a complete Twit. It's embarrassing.

peukpokicuzo · 13/03/2017 06:48

It's a shame that places like legoland, peppa pig world etc etc never have any p&c parking spaces. Presumably people who are angry when they can't get a p&c space at a supermarket just never ever go to any popular family attraction as they are unable to exit their vehicle with an ordinary parking space.

Afreshstartplease · 13/03/2017 06:52

I once stuck a note on someone's car

They kept parking on the pavement infront of my house so I could get neither in or out with my tandem pram and two DC under 2

I had no idea which house they were going to

After the note it never happened again

Grumpbum · 13/03/2017 06:58

(Sorry I don't know how to reply to individual comments) but to the above comment about people needing P&C spaces at places like PP world. We have membership and are very frequent visitors. Those with large 'nice' cars usually 4x4s just park across 2 spaces ignoring and arguing with the parking assistants. Looking like complete idiots. I see this every time we visit during busy times

pipsqueak25 · 13/03/2017 07:17

totally pathetic note writer who knows fuck all about the drivers situation.
