I saw an 'Easter pantomime' being advertised the other day and thought the same. Mine are too old for pantos now but when we did go I liked that it was a special thing that meant it was nearly Christmas (we usually went Christmas Eve).

And for performance I'm thinking ex-Hollyoaks or someone off Gogglebox!

Are they also advertising for a chorus of children (munchkins or villagers) & paying £40 each for the privilege?

DD's dance school provides the kids for panto in a big city near us. I've written off many a December for the joy of her appearing on stage with a washed up soap star & someone from a long forgotten kids tv show. I'm now mortified that the theatre now does an Easter panto as well. Thankfully it only runs for a couple of days & for once they've got a pretty well known star. He's famous enough that my 16 yr old DD has actually heard of him!
