YABVU - I took an extra year to do my A Levels (year out as I had my DS at 15) so was 19 by the time I finished, having previously been the youngest in the cohort. I was worried about feeling old when I started my degree, especially because I have a four year old also, but the reality was that over half of my cohort are mature students (over 25) and many have children so in fact I am one of few who are under 21. Nobody notices or cares how old you are, at A Level or university. There is no norm for education, especially not anymore.
