I was speaking to my DS12 about a friends mum who is 50 this weekend. My son said he thought 50 was old but he hates the fact I am so young and people comment on it to him and tell him his mums a milf. He said you and dad must have been stupid to have me so youngConfused he hates me doesnt he?

DS1 and his mates are like junior versions of The Inbetweeners. One of his squad has a mum who they all fancy. Poor lad!

Bigfluffybear · 08/03/2017 21:40

Have some more Wine OP and show us what you're really capable of.

He needs a long, boring enlightening lecture about sexism.

CleanHonestGoals · 08/03/2017 22:04

My daughter is 18, I'm 37...it's worse when she comes home and tells me that the lads at school think I'm a milf...then elaborate to her.
I'd ignore it.

downwardfacingdog · 08/03/2017 23:49

He 12. It's obligatory to find your mum embarrassing for one reason or another. His friend with the 50yo mum is probably embarrassed that she's old. I'll be 38 when my ds is 12, so neither old, nor a MILF (ywnbu to have a conversation about using such a disgusting phrase and objectifying women) but I'm sure I will manage to be some source of embarrassment to him. Don't stress it.

Woody67 · 09/03/2017 00:08

I'd be grateful happy to be called a MILF (and have been on the odd occasion), although my son did think it stood for "mother in her late forties"! I didn't correct him. Grin

Graphista · 09/03/2017 00:31

Meh embarrassing your teen is payback for their delightful behaviour at this age Grin

I'm an older mum compared to my dds friends mums (lots of v young mums here) I get told off for

Smiling
Talking/not talking to her friends
Singing
Dancing
Being 'cool'
Not being 'cool'

Today a thing on Facebook said her best friend likes me better Grin best friend agreed (in jest I'm sure). Dd took it well though.

Joy of teens.

This is a bit of a weird post TBH.

Woody67 "mother in her late forties"
I love your DS Grin

Itsnotwhatitseems · 09/03/2017 02:37

apparently GILF is the new MILF..:)

Mittensonastring · 09/03/2017 09:48

Two boys at my sons school had a fight as one called the other ones mum milf. I have been called milf and while in a sense it's saying your still sexually attractive though your older it has a yuck quality about it as making you in to an object.

My sons friends are fascinated because I'm a gamer, I have actually beaten my sons friends very occasionally when gaming with them. He was delighted. They are massively impressed.

MerryMarigold · 09/03/2017 09:50

What's a GILF? Just 'Girl'?

Love the "mother in her late forties" too. When ds2 is 12, that's where I'll be and that's certainly all it would possibly be standing for!!

Mittensonastring · 09/03/2017 10:57

Gilf is grandmother

MerryMarigold · 09/03/2017 16:50

Shock!
