On an exercise bike, that should say

nwbmum · 08/03/2017 07:31

Just whole foods. more protein, more veggies, as little as possible added sugar.
Other than that no hard and fast rules. Occasionally treat myself.
Ate like this most of the time and went from 70kg after DD2 to about 55kg now with no exercise and dieting - this way of eating is a lifestyle now.
Mind you it's still 5lb off my ideal weight, but I think once I have time to start exercising again I know I'll look and feel much better

DH and I have been doing the HFLC diet - high fat, low carb. He has lost 3 kg in 2 weeks, despite cheating. I have lost 2 kg in 4 weeks, being strict. It's actually not a hardship, as you can have all sorts of nice things - steak, eggs, bacon, Greek yoghurt, cheese, (in moderation), and I have a huge salad with lettuce, avocado, feta, tomato, cucumber, almonds, peppers, spring onions, every day. You are never hungry on this diet, and fasting for 15 hours a day works really well with it. So no food after dinner (at, say, 7 pm) until brunch at around 10. It was recommended to me by my cardiologist, who is like a whippet in build. We both have so much more energy, sleep really well and my skin is much less dry. I really recommend it as a great slow-loss regime.

Glass of water and apple or banana @8am

A slice of toast or some yoghurt and granola with coffee @9.30/10 (after school run)

Bread and hummus and salad for lunch, maybe soup

A biscuit or two for arvo snacks

Eat tea early with the kiddies @5.30/6pm - pasta with salmon, veg ramen noodle soup, gnocchi with green veg etc.

Fruit and yoghurt for snacks @8/9pm

ALWAYS a bit of dark chocolate in the evening. Always. Life is too short.

And - Pilates/strength training plus a strenuous walk and swimming a few times a week

curlysue I found all the info online! Just so easy once you know carb counts.
