I mean, fgs, they must have know it'd be released in july or thereabouts.

My MIL has placed a ban on me reading through bil's service and I just KNOW my mother is going to say the same (other wedding is cousin, have been 3 line whipped into going)

Both weddings are HOURS long, and I doubt I'll be able to find a dress with a big enough pocket for the book. Looks like dd will be out of nappies too, fgs, so there's THAT excuse gone.

so

AIBU?

(oh its filly btw)

Is it April 1st? this is not real, surely?

rosylonginglily · 03/03/2007 20:40

Snooze through the weddings so you can stay up all night reading

Twiglett · 03/03/2007 20:42

its a feckin' kids book filly ...get real

Enid · 03/03/2007 20:45

god I hope you are being tongue in cheek

those books are rubbish anyway

CanSleepWeirdShifts · 03/03/2007 21:00

You are joking aren't you? Please tell me you are. Why on earth must they know when they are being released, and why would they care if they did? I don't have the first clue about anything to do with HP.

Troutpout · 03/03/2007 21:01

God...given the choice..
Having to read Hp or a wedding
Tough call but the wedding wins

Lwatkins · 03/03/2007 23:46

Oh you poor woman I sympathise lol I'm a bit put out with HP this year as my usual 'no life until book is finished' regime may have to be put on hold as I will have a 2 month baby to contend with! Doubt I'll get in much reading time, boo hoo!

Fonk · 04/03/2007 06:38

aargh sympathies re baby, i am soooo sorry

dd was considerate enough to be born a week before HP6 so I mean, I NEEDED something to read while bf...for her sake really...

pmsl tick. shall go into great detail.

Of course I am being serious. Deadly serious.

I think it utterly unreasonable that anyone should not take the HP release date into account when planning their wedding. yes.

you are not serious

please be serious though then I can laugh at you

Wilbur · 05/03/2007 13:44

Haha, filly. I had a similatr thing when the last HP book came out and ds2 was due v soon after. It was one of those 1st time, 2nd time, 3rd time mum things - ie - I didn't want my first baby to be early as I'd read about lung development and was concerned for his health, I didn't want my 2nd baby to be early as I hadn't had time to get the baby stuff out of storage, and I didn't want my 3rd baby to be early because the new Harry Potter was due out a week before and I wanted to have time to read it.

FillyjonkDOEStellherkidsoff · 06/03/2007 23:16

OH ok then I am serious

look ---->
