Northern Ireland goes to the poles this Thursday. Our local government collapsed following the exposure of a corrupt scheme, endorsed and allegedly protected by the first minister. The deputy first minister resigned so we are without government and on the cusp of direct rule from Westminster.
Fellow northerners... please join me in voting out the status quo. Please vote for anyone other than the DUP and Sinn Fein. We've got nowhere with these clowns for the past 10 years. Give peace a chance. Give your vote to alliance, people before profit, the sdlp, the uup.
Hold the self proclaimed 'First Lady of Northern Ireland' accountable for what she has done. £500,000,000 of your cash would have been squandered on her cronies had she not been exposed! Come on, use your vote!!!!!!!

Top up I'm so glad to hear they are quaking! Somehow makes me feel a bit less worried that nothing will change!
I'm excited and nervous about waking up on Friday morning... from what you are all saying (and I know it's a tiny snap shot) I'm hopeful.
You're right about the youth apathy...wtf like we should all go round and put rockets up their asses!!!

I hhope that dreadful woman is voted out. I heard her speak and she spouted forth the same old bigoted hatred. It was like going back 30 years in time and all the hard work and peace process wrecked. Not to mention all that money.

As the election is on World Book Day I'm tempted to vote dressed up as the witch from Hansel and Gretel carrying a wood-burning stove! Grin I wonder if Jonathan Bell will get many votes? Stephen Nolan is getting some mileage out of all this, isn't he?! Most of the interviews have been complete car crashes!

dingdongthewitchisdead1 · 27/02/2017 23:17

Wineandchocs omg you have to do this!!!!!

Yea Nolan is loving it all... I've my own opinions on him but to be fair he's produced some great journalism

Grin my DH could go as the woodcutter for added authenticity Grin I do quite like Nolan at times and he has produced some great journalism, you're right. Must get a look at today's LAD offerings-my favourite so far has been the Johnny Jingle Bells one-also the Dolly Parton-style "Arlene"

TulipsInAJug · 28/02/2017 09:41

Yea, thank God for Stephen Nolan, annoying though he can be, and Sam McBride of the Newsletter. The Bel Tel have been pathetic on RHI, their editor appears to love Arlene.

dingdongthewitchisdead1 · 28/02/2017 19:23

Arlene is probably giving the bel gel a backhander so they don't give her a hard time

Nothing has changed Angry
We are fucked
Direct rule here we come!

You were right, nothing changed (except Sinn Fein is stronger) but don't despair. With direct rule, none of them get any salaries. They'll sort something out Wink
