I mean, she tells me it's because she hasn't got time, what with the baby and all but come on this activity only takes a second!!

in our house
BLUE:fuelling the car and putting the bins out
PINK:making cakes and defrosting the freezer.

and dh is spoiled as I will put the bins out if he is not here, however he has never defrosted the freezer.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 26/02/2017 21:51

My husband is excellent at putting new roll on holder.
But disposing of old empty cardboard inner seems beyond him.
I waited to see if he would get the hint but admit that I cracked and gave in when the 4th empty roll appeared on top of the cistern

Ladyshippers · 26/02/2017 21:52

Blue: changing the loo roll
Pink: shopping

freshloorollsplease · 26/02/2017 21:53

So the nappies was a joke before any crusader gets in their white steed.... technical wizardry stuff if deffo blue though.

I wouldn't say it is rigid... but in general:

Blue: shop and cook
Pink: clean

iklboo · 26/02/2017 21:53

In our house blue jobs are the ones that invoke most swearing - the air turns blue.

freshloorollsplease · 26/02/2017 21:54

So ninja turns out... yes they do.

I think somebody should post a thread in Feminism topic asking about the blue and pink jobs.

freshloorollsplease · 26/02/2017 21:55

Nothing in your house that you do but DO doesn't...?

DJKKSlider · 26/02/2017 21:56

I do all the pink and the blue jobs in this house, my gf does the transparent jobs.... The ones that don't actually exist... She's good at those.

AliceInHinterland · 26/02/2017 21:57

freshloorollsplease are you the OP or a tribute username? In any case I don't blame your wife, perhaps it's a cry for help. She probably needs some support with the baby and the cleaning while you're fucking about with 'technical wizardry'.

khajiit13 · 26/02/2017 21:59

I do this. So does OH. It takes second, It doesn't matter who forgot, we just do it.

freshloorollsplease · 26/02/2017 22:06

Alice maybe you are right... but then again i can control the TV from the deepest parts of the Amazon Rainforest so... swings and roundabouts!

EatSpamAmandaLamb · 26/02/2017 22:10

A blue job? Sweet mother of all that is Waitrose.

DJKKSlider · 26/02/2017 22:10

What's the point of controlling a TV from anywhere but in front of the TV?
That's not wizardry that's just pointless bollocks... Tbf, most if what you'd likely call 'Blue' jobs is pointless bollocks though.

EatSpamAmandaLamb · 26/02/2017 22:11

Ladyshippers you can clarify what you think the respective jobs are all you want but who is blue and who is pink?
I mean, really?

bittorrent123 · 26/02/2017 22:20

Does she waft her farts with your hat too OP? Have you nc so you don't put yourself?

bittorrent123 · 26/02/2017 22:22

Out not put!

bittorrent123 · 26/02/2017 22:23

Did you also do the deleted post "give me my grandchild?"

Huldra · 26/02/2017 22:25

Ahh, downloading an app and jabbing at a screen is technical wizardry.

RJnomore1 · 26/02/2017 22:28

Yes yes sparkles I'm sure FWR would love to hear about blue and pink jobs.

TBH blue job is making me think of German porn for some reason...

Someone has started a thread in Feminism, but they're just being snippy and defensive with every responder.
