I live on an estate with a private road. It is narrow and people park on one side of the road near the houses. In the daytime there are plenty of spaces for people to park, but everyday around lunchtime a white van parks IN THE ROAD regardless of there being parking spaces and the guy goes in the friend's house for ages and ages.
Always around the school run time. I'm at the end of the road and the only one with young children.
I have to beep my horn loads of times to get him to move and he always glares at me as if I'm causing the trouble!
He does this all the time. If I had to avoid this, I'd either have to leave over half an hour earlier or park at the other end of the street, but can't see why I should as I have a driveway.
I've spoken to the owner of the house, but they say that they can't control what their work mate does and I should 'chill'.
He did have an argument with another resident once as they were coming the other way and wanted to get past.
No need for it as there is plenty of parking!

Where is Mrs Jolly when you need her?

What's the stuff about miss jolly and pressing charges? I must have missed the end of that thread.

JustSpeakSense · 24/02/2017 22:28

I find myself unable to comment without provision of compulsory 'parking thread' diagram Wink

MrsTerryPratchett · 24/02/2017 22:29

scrolls for diagram

Me too.

MrsTerryPratchett · 24/02/2017 22:30

I would take a picture, put it on youparklikeacunt.com and put a linky on his windscreen. Grin

We actually I would seethe, but that's what I'd like to do.

Sillysausage123 · 24/02/2017 22:40

ComedyofTerrors · 24/02/2017 22:41

Am I the only person that read that in Yoda's voice? *

The landlord and lady of parking cunt attacked Jenny and husband.

Noooooo!! How did I miss that?!? Poor Jenny.

ginswinger · 24/02/2017 22:58

Get some chalk pens, the kind they sell for pub boards, and leave a small but poignant message on his windscreen. They only come off with either windoleen or a proper remover that you can buy with the pens. Water alone won't shift it. Should get the message across.

Mummyoflittledragon · 24/02/2017 23:06

Ooh parking thread. He does sound like a dick.

SoleBizzz · 24/02/2017 23:13

.

HelpTheTigers · 24/02/2017 23:26

Hmm - he does sound like a nasty PITA and is definitely in the wrong but I would be very wary of trying to block him in. White van drivers are not always known for respecting others' vehicles and he might give in to temptation and shunt your car out of his way. Apols to other white van drivers and users who are decent / reasonable (as is my DH).

MidniteScribbler · 24/02/2017 23:45

Wait, I need to hear what happened with the land lady and Miss Jolly??? More details!

justilou · 28/02/2017 11:40

That's all he info we have about Jenny and Jolly. The landlord attacked her husband and her. Police were involved. She requested that the posts were deleted.

fuxxake · 28/02/2017 13:43
