To hate the use of the term "hack" for (usually shit) "tips"

What is it with newspapers and articles calling everything a "hack"?

Unless it is an article about hacking a computer it is a stupid phrase.

Not as annoying as the use of gender (an inanimate object) in place of sex.

Yanbu but people click and more clicks = charging more money for adverts.

I saw a 'hack' the other day that was spectacularly shit. I was that you can turn out the rim of a takeaway foil tray and use it as a plate for fried rice dishes. Except it's not a plate - you're eating it out of the tray. Which, don't get me wrong, I've done. But I was under no illusions that it was a plate and I hadn't gone to the effort of turning back the whole rim of foil at the top for no reason whatsoever.

God, I hate this! It's almost ruining Pinterest for me.

YANBU. It drives me mad.

bum I agree that is spectacularly shit - just eat the rice out of the tray if you are going to do that? wtf does turning the foil edge out do anyway?
