IABU to get so annoyed by them, yet I can't stop myself. This one in particular.

ive got a mortgage with them.
thats the only interaction i need really. I pay and they keep away from us and just prey we can pay them what we owe each month,
I do not want them preaching to me how to live.

For the way Nationwide treated me so many years ago, despite the compensation paid so grudgingly, the furthest reaches of hell still aren't good enough for them. I have a tv remote control that automatically dives under the sofa if I let it out of reach, so the tv ads get muted as soon as I register it's Nationwide. Bastards is what they'll always be to me. No I'm not bitter, I managed to see that they got theirs, just when I walk past one of their shops I say to myself 'Up yours'. Grin

A lot of adverts these days sound very patronising, the tone of them is very much like they are explaining something slowly so the general public can keep up, like they are addressing children. Gets on my very last nerve!!!!!

Tabby , feel your pain/ the Santander, when it was the abbey national, is the same, i actually cross the road to avoid walking past it.

Is that where Abbey National went? I never knew. Thanks! My ex and I had our first mortgage with them in the early 1970s and when we wanted to move on they wouldn't give us another mortgage, nothing to do with our exemplary repayment record, just because of 'market conditions'. It was because of how AN treated us that we got involved with Nationwide.
