Book deal cancelled, stepped down from editorship of Breitbart and so on,
in other words, used abused and dumped. Who knew?!

OP posts:
roseshippy · 22/02/2017 16:30

Although abusers like this dont seem to get punished

roarityroar · 22/02/2017 18:03

On a serious note though, Milo will be enjoying this. His life is a performance; he was the same when I knew him back in London. He will probably self publish his book and make more money for doing so.

He lives for this shit.

Rhayader · 22/02/2017 18:14

He is a massive troll.

I do know that he has outed several paedophiles during his journalism career though.

Book deal is cancelled but he has already announced that he will still publish it - with 10% of profits/proceeds (i cant remember which) going to child protection charities.

The book deal being cancelled will just fuel his readership and give him more publicity to recruit more fans..

limitedperiodonly · 22/02/2017 18:55

How was he stitched up? He exercised his right to free speech; they exercised their right not to like what he said.

IMO he was asking for it

NiceMoustache · 22/02/2017 21:07

I think Maher was the final straw. Also boards.4chan.org/pol/thread/113460155/operation-destroy-milo-begins-monday

limitedperiodonly · 22/02/2017 21:30

Milo is a whining little bitch who should realise that sometimes people you think are your friends shit on you. Sometimes you don't deserve it but mostly you do. And hey, who gives a shit? Why are you complaining, snowflake?

Is that a good enough parody of Milo? Or will you complain and get it deleted?

roseshippy · 22/02/2017 21:34

that's timestamped 05:54 UTC on the 20th.

There had already been dozens of tweets by this account: twitter.com/ReaganBattalion/ prior to that.

That's a 'never Trump' account unhappy that Milo was invited to CPAC. And they responded by posting numerous tweets with video of Milo justifying being abused by a priest.

Birdsgottaf1y · 22/02/2017 21:47

You can't compare someone who was in a sexual relationship, or had a one off incident, when they were underage, to an Adult who thinks performing a sexual with someone underage/a child.

It's fine to say that you don't feel that you were abused etc, many posters on here say the same about the sex that they had with 18+ partners, whilst they were under 16. It's for Society and the Adults around you, to make sure that it doesn't happen, or go unpunished.

LDs incident happened when she was 7. Curious Seven year olds aren't abusers.

Milo is abhorrent and as said being an abuse victim, isn't a valid excuse. He can well afford therapy.

EurusHolmesViolin · 22/02/2017 21:56

Mmm, I think the issue is that he hasn't just talked about his own experiences. If he'd simply said he'd had sex underage with older men and liked it, I reckon he'd be ok.

Also, Lena Dunham was well under the age of criminal responsibility, so that probably has something to do with why she's not been punished.

roseshippy · 22/02/2017 21:56

George Takei said he thought it was great having sex as a 13 yearold with an adult in a position of trust too.

limitedperiodonly · 22/02/2017 22:08

George Takei said he thought it was great having sex as a 13 yearold with an adult in a position of trust too.

If George Takei has a book deal with Simon and Schuster they can take it away. Just as if he worked for Brietbart or was due to speak at a prestigious rally that decided they didn't want him any more.

It's the consequences of free speech. That's what Milo advocates, isn't it?

roseshippy · 22/02/2017 22:27

George Takei in fact had several (audio) book deals with Simon & Schuster, and just (literally 2 weeks ago) appeared in a commercial for Pizza Hut.

Shouldn't people be boycotting Pizza Hut in protest?

NiceMoustache · 22/02/2017 22:29

Someone should Sulu them ( ill get my coat)

NiceMoustache · 22/02/2017 22:33

If someone posted a thread saying their daughter overheard at school that their DDs friend had been in a similar situation to the one Lena graphically describes you'd not be able to move for the ' report to school this is not normal and may highlight issues within the home / SS posts.

limitedperiodonly · 22/02/2017 22:40

Simon & Schuster and Pizza Hut are free to withdraw association with George Takei any time they want. If they don't want to, they don't have to.

If people want to boycott any products associated with George Takei they can. That might make his sponsors drop him. That's the beauty of living in a free society.

It's not a reason for saying that Milo shouldn't be dropped. If people don't think he works for them any more, then that's the way things go. I certainly don't think they should keep him on as a charity case.

EurusHolmesViolin · 22/02/2017 23:06

Quite possibly nice, but there still wouldn't be punishment because 7 is well under the age of criminal responsibility.

roseshippy · 22/02/2017 23:14

none of this is a criminal matter it's about the relative opprobrium for TALKING about it.

counterpoint · 22/02/2017 23:19

Another victim - crucified by the main stream media.

EurusHolmesViolin · 22/02/2017 23:20

The problem with that comparison is that Dunham hasn't suggested it could be beneficial for siblings in general. That would be the appropriate analogy. I find both hers and Takei's comments problematic, and don't doubt that there's been some politicking in his demise as there was always going to be, but these comparisons are just reachy reachy. You can have a problem with this without drawing inaccurate parallels.

limitedperiodonly · 22/02/2017 23:35

one of this is a criminal matter it's about the relative opprobrium for TALKING about it.

No one has said his views are criminal. They just don't want to be associated with them. That's not a crime

limitedperiodonly · 22/02/2017 23:36

none not one

JustAnotherPoster00 · 23/02/2017 17:56

Its mainly the SJW and rad-fem types that are calling for Milo's head yet are still happy with Lena's abuse of her sister to go un-punished you wont see them boycotting or no-platforming her

limitedperiodonly · 23/02/2017 19:54

The US is still a free country. People can act against Lena Durham if they feel sufficiently moved.

You'd need a heart of stone not to laugh at Milo's whiny little bleats.

I do thank him for his shit logo though. Such a source of tittering.

ToastDemon · 23/02/2017 20:34

Couldn't have happened to a nicer little troll. I don't care if he was stitched up. He deserves only bad shit.
