AIBU to arrive for a day out in London after 11am?

I have planned a day out in London with the DCs on an open top bus and one attraction. Already paid for the tour.
WIBU to arrive after 11am (getting an earlier train adds £50 per adult to the train journey)? or does this make the day out too short to be of any use?

Er, surely it depends on the length of your journey & age of the DC?

I always wait to get the cheap train fares, YANBU.

I think it's fine. May be a bit busier, but shops/museums don't open til 10 usually anyway. You can go home after dinner. If it's a Friday, some galleries/museums (Tate, v&a, British museum) are open til 8 or 9pm.

It's fine. We very often get a train just after 9am and arrive in London about 2hrs later. Plenty of time.

It's fine. I go to London (from around 150 miles away) about 8 times a year. I always get the cheaper train tickets and arrive between 11 and 12. Then I leave London at around 7. The underground system is so efficient you can get around quickly and easily.

We do this for one of my DC's birthday every year (he loves London!). We arrive around 11, do one thing before lunch, a couple of things after lunch, tea and usually a show then home. It's a bloody long day and getting there at 9 might kill me!

It's fine. We've been a few times and always travel off peak, the peak trains are so busy and crowded it makes a stressful start to the day so if rather avoid anyone. Lots of the touristy things don't open until 10 too. A day out in London can be full on so about 10.30 - 3 from arrival to train home is more than enough for us! But DS is only 3. Personally I'd want to avoid rush hour trains home too so would want be leaving by 4 or have dinner then travel after 6.30/7.

I usually meet friends about 11.00. We have elevenses, bus or tube ride to wherever we're planning to spend the afternoon, walk/museum/exhibition/other activity, cup of tea, back into central London, maybe visit a bookshop, dinner, then train home after rush hour.

We could fit more into the day if we spent less time talking over our elevenses.

We coach up because it's cheaper and get there about 11, then leave about 6. We walk everywhere and have a fine old time.

I think its fine. You ll be more rested by not getting up and having to go ver yearly as well and London is a site just looking around.

I'm fairly confident that we'll have enough time. But as I'm going with my friend and her DCs I don't want to insist on something that might spoil anyone else's day IYSWIM
