To never want to show my face in work again?

I only started the job about four weeks ago and got invited out last night with a few of them. Went along and had one or two too many and ended up kissing one of the guys I work with. To make matters worse I was so embarrassed about I just left then without saying bye to any of them.
I do have a bit of a crush on him but can't imagine facing him or any of them that were there again!

You can TOTALLY style this one out (unless you've snogged the office weirdo). I've done it twice (in different companies). Rock up on Monday, enjoy the attention, hold your hands up and own it.

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 19/02/2017 03:30

Could be worse.

You could have snogged him in front of his mum. And your mum.

Not that anyone I know did that of course BlushBlushBlush

still cringing 15 years later

DameSquashalot · 19/02/2017 03:46

You have nothing to be embarrassed about.

I met DH at an office party. There's always someone snogging someone at parties when alcohol is involved.,,maybe it will lead somewhere 💍👰🏽🕺🏼💏👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🎩

RottenTomatoes959 · 19/02/2017 08:18

Hahahah he's definitely not the office weirdo, in actual fact he's kind of the token office crush for everyone, luckily for me most of the other women are a decade or two older than him or I'm sure he never would have blinked twice at me!

Did this almost 20 (eek!) years ago - now married with 3 DS.
-You're both single
-He's not the office weirdo
-Not much competition from the sounds of things
The circumstances could be a lot worse!

dinosaurkisses · 19/02/2017 09:35

Agree with previous posters re styling it out

I kissed a colleague on a night out a few years ago- i was mortified and thought I'd ruined a good friendship.

Two and a half years later we're married and expecting DC1. It's a slippery slope OP Grin

The story about Tim is soooo funny.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 19/02/2017 10:40

GILES, "Tim's house", mortifying ! 😂😂😂
Oh, that really made me laugh.
Did you come across Tim again ?

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 19/02/2017 10:43

Sorry, sorry, RUMBELINA, reading two posts at once, isn't very clever !

BrownEyedLady · 19/02/2017 12:33

Be safe in the knowledge that one or more of those other ladies has probably done it too!

RiversrunWoodville · 19/02/2017 12:40

Ooh I don't suit hats

spongebob5 · 20/02/2017 21:15

How did it go today op? I met my DP at work, still together 6 years later Smile

RottenTomatoes959 · 21/02/2017 12:21

UPDATE: Yesterday was fine,no one really mentioned it apart from the off nudge nudge wink wink and so on.
I spent the majority of the day trying to hide from him because I just went red anytime I seen him.
He caught me at the end of the day and asked me to go for a drink with him the next time DS is in his dad's!!
Oooh I'm feeling a tad giddy about it!

I've got form for this Blush On a work night out at the last place I worked, snogged a manager from a different department - very uncomfortable conversation was had the following Monday when he asked me out and I had to confess I didn't actually fancy him, and I had had too much to drink.

Also happened at the current place I work, with a bloke I did fancy. We're getting married this year Grin

Yay that he's asked you out!!! Fantastic! Now, where did I put my hat.....
