WIBU to leave them a note - A parking one

I know how you all love a parking one. With a diagram! A shitty diagram with wonky lines but still!

Right. On my way to work I have to go through a train station car park. To get out of the carpark you either have to go out onto main road the way the cars get in and out or use the pedestrian exit which is a little sloped ramp thing for wheelchair access. It isn't immediately obvious to those not familiar with the area, not painted or marked out so it could be an accident but there is always the same 4X4 parked on the ramp. I think he thinks it is a space. Though what he thinks the railing is there for is beyond me... It is there almost every day. I squeeze past so to me it is just an annoyance but today I went through there with a buggy and had to go out where the cars come in and all the way round the back of a pub on the corner to get out of the car park as I couldn't get past. Took about 10 minutes. I was quite pissed off. Would be a pain in the arse for a wheelchair user. There is a dropped kerb by the car exit so didn't have to be in the road long but even so why should anyone have to go all the way round? Using the access road along side the shops would bring you out in the middle of a roundabout/taxi rink thing as there is a railing all the way along.

So. WIBU to stick a note under the wiper next time I see it telling them that it isn't a space and to please park the cuntmobile elsewhere. It's a whole fucking car park ffs, hardly short of space. DP thinks I could get in trouble for doing so but I can't see why? Nothing illegal about leaving a note, is there?

Forgot to add a Star Star Star Star Star for excellent diagram.

jerryfudd · 18/02/2017 13:50

Please leave a note like pp said along lines "I'm writing this note because someone saw me scratch your cuntmobile with my buggy so I was making it look like I was leaving my details but as you're parked in a non parking space and blocking access I'm not"

You not only point out they are parking like twats but you've also given them a job of finding the non existent damage

chillx · 18/02/2017 14:05

Take photos from many angles and email them to the council explaining the problem. They can't bloke disabled access.

chillx · 18/02/2017 14:05

*block

MontyPythonsFlyingFuck · 18/02/2017 14:12

I love the imaginary scratch suggestion!

Hisstory · 18/02/2017 14:13

I find it a bit depressing that so many posters would deal with this so aggressively right from the outset. Joking about the car being a cuntmobile etc is funny online but to not give the driver of the cuntmobile a chance to mend his ways before going all Vicky Pollard on them is a bit much.

People need to chill out. Wink

Tabbylady · 18/02/2017 14:20

Excellent diagram OP, and yes, what BlackeyedSusan said!

Nothing stopping you leaving a note - you won't be the only one pissed off by this. I'd be letting whoever manages that bit of land (station/council?) know and they can maybe paint hatches on it or something

BellyBean · 18/02/2017 15:10

It might say on the sign where you pay who owns it. I'd leave a note and write to the owner of the car park too.

TheWinterOfOurDiscountTents · 18/02/2017 15:52

First note politely pointing it out. 2nd note tells them that if you see it there again you'll key cuntmobile on the bonnet.
Too much?

RhiWrites · 18/02/2017 16:07

I think cherrysoup said it best with her note:
"Please stop parking here. It is not a parking space. It is a ramp access for disabled users."

Ebayaholic · 18/02/2017 16:11

What blackeyedsusan said or make it look like an official warning by typing it up, in case they don't care about disabled access

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 18/02/2017 16:15

That diagram is fantastic and has almost made me orgasm GrinGrinGrin

Definitely leave a note although I suspect they know exactly what they're doing!

Trills · 18/02/2017 16:24

Brilliant diagram and the imaginary scratch is a fantastic plan.

AllaboutsheZ · 18/02/2017 16:25

Yes definantly leave a note. I'd say you are a wheelchair user struggling daily, to use the ramp, and that parking there is a huge inconvenience. If they continue to park there, then you should report it to the train station and see what they suggest.

SundialShadow · 18/02/2017 17:36

I would print out your diagram and leave it under the windshield of the runt's car.
Maybe put it in an envelope marked "For the runt blocking the access ramp"

tattychicken · 18/02/2017 17:41

Do Mumsnet do Diagram Awards? If so I nominate this one.

Birdsgottaf1y · 18/02/2017 17:58

Take a picture, if you don't have a local "parking like a twat" page, then put it on the general FB one.

Type in "Parking like a twat... your city/town".

Birdsgottaf1y · 18/02/2017 17:58

As well as the note.

Stripeyblanket · 18/02/2017 19:16

If it's obstructing wheelchair access and it's there everyday, you could take down the VRM and ring 101 and report to local police stating its causing an obstruction and is there a local PCSO that could attend and view the obstruction. They can fine the owner.

ApocalypseNowt · 18/02/2017 19:22

Polite but firm note first.

If no joy take pics and post them here

StarryIllusion · 18/02/2017 20:10

That's a good thought about checking the sign, I hadn't thought of it but of course it must give a number. I'll check on Monday.Grin I've never been nominated for anything before preens

If not I'll leave a polite note on the windscreen stuck down by writing the word cunt in pritstick and see if it stops
