I will have a 7 year old DC tomorrow still with all their baby teeth! Grin

Ds 1 was 9, Ds 2 was 7 (almost 8) there is only 16 months between them so it was within weeks of each other. I'm still convinced Ds 2 wiggled his out because he wanted £1.

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 15/02/2017 22:58

My three all lost their first tooth 7. DD2 had to have her two bottom teeth pulled because the adult teeth had grown up behind them but the milk teeth didn't wobble.

PickledPeppermint · 15/02/2017 22:59

Happy birthday to yours too spelling. Just finished putting some balloons and a banner up, now off to bed ready for an early start! derails thread!

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 15/02/2017 22:59

All of them were the last in their class - lots of complaining!

TheCakes · 15/02/2017 23:02

My son was 8 too. He only cut his first tooth at 12 months though.

JayzuzMaryJoseph · 15/02/2017 23:02

DS and DD were both 7.5 yrs old. Thy were late teethers, if that is related? Not sure...

Both then lost all their teeth really quickly.

Haudyerwheesht · 15/02/2017 23:02

I didn't notice it when I first met him so I suppose it mustn't look that odd but I notice it now. Not so much because of the size but because they look sort of 'thinner' .

ZygellaOsgood · 15/02/2017 23:04

DS1 was 8.5. Dentist sent him for X-rays just after he turned 8 to make sure there were adult teeth there as there was no sign at all of them!

Ditto Peppermint!

4!

PrincessHairyMclary · 15/02/2017 23:45

DD lost her bottom two the week before she turned 4 she's 7 now and has lost 8 altogether,. Dentist said as she had gotten them early it's likely she would lose them early also she is very tall and whether the skeletal size has anything to do with it I don't know.

Rainbowqueeen · 15/02/2017 23:50

Yes I've also heard if you get baby teeth early you lose them early and vice versa
Certainly was true for my kids

toffee1000 · 15/02/2017 23:54

Don't have DC, but I lost my first tooth at 5. My dad has it on camcorder somewhere, we were in Center Parcs. Apparently I was playing on some indoor play equipment when it happened.
I also had to have three baby teeth removed at 14 and had 'shark teeth'. I then had braces put in fairly soon after.

ifcatscouldtalk · 15/02/2017 23:56

My daughter lost her first tooth at 7. She's still losing baby teeth at 12. I'm off to Google about people not losing their baby teeth Grin.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 15/02/2017 23:59

Can't honestly remember. Around 6 I think. Aren't I bloody terrible

toffee1000 · 16/02/2017 00:02

According to BabyCentre, teeth development is hereditary. So if you cut your first teeth early then your child is likely to as well. Doesn't say whether losing teeth is hereditary.

Lushka · 16/02/2017 00:23

5: lost the front 4 teeth in quick succession.

mammmamia · 16/02/2017 00:38

I have twins who both teethed late. They are 7 in a week. DD has lost 3 teeth. DS was the later of the two to get his teeth (15months!) and still hasn't lost any - none even wobbly.

WellyMummy · 16/02/2017 00:56

DD1 was 6y1m. She was by no means the first among her friends to lose teeth.
DD2 was 6y 9m. It's the first one in early Jan and the second one last week. Saw the dentist last week and he said that 6y6m was average so DD2 was a little behind, she hasn't even got her 6y molars yet!
