Just for a few days. I have been doing MFP and doing ok with it, a stone in just over four weeks (only another 4 to go then Blush). The weight loss has been slowing somewhat and I think it means I need to add in some more exercise (when I don't know!!). But I am poorly, have a total bastard of a cold and I just want to eat all. the. things. I have tried bananas and carrots etc which is my go to when I am hungry but I NEED carbs and fat and general badness. So today I have eaten - porridge for breakfast, then a pancake as I was making for DD with banana, honey and mixed spice and now have just eaten a sausage sarnie AND DD's half that she didn't want. Now a fecking oreo has just fallen into my mouth Blush

I feel a mixture of naughty, full (for a change) and angry with myself for succumbing.

One day off the piggy wagon wont hurt will it?

One day won't hurt.

No food is 'bad' or 'naughty'. Leave playground talk where it belongs.

It's totally OK to take a break when ill op you can still make some sensible food choices between the bad ones whilst you seek comfort.

I barely exercised all last week as I had tonsillitis and I cba to cook either.

Yesterday went to the gym and I am child free this week so will be hitting it hard this while I have the chance then hopefully will have my mojo back and keep going. It's hard when you lose motivation to build it back up.

Get well soon.

Really glad you are back on track. 1400 will be okay if you have entered you biometrics correctly but there are lots of site where you can double checks this.

I would love 1400 but very short and now much lighter and now maintain on 1200 Envy...thinking of all the food I could eat with an extra 200 cals...

Do you check that you are getting the balance right between carbs, fats and proteins? I feel better/satisfied when these are broadly achieved in the right proportions.

Happy eating :)

1200 is not enough for anyone! That is far too little.

SorrelSoup · 12/02/2017 19:54

I do 1200 but have unlimited veg, so technically a bit more than 1200, but still a good framework for monitoring what I eat. I really like mfp.

1400 calories in an active job or with an active lifestyle is not a lot.

Definitely consider sw. It's working for me. Have lost just over 2 st in 9 months. And this included an 8lb gain in December. I had a lovely Christmas. But it's off again now.

People don't like sw because they assume it's all muller yoghurt and huge plates of pasta. And smash tweaked to make kfc etc.

The boring truth is that it is just a low fat, low sugar diet. It works because you are cutting down on processed foods, fatty foods and sugary foods and replacing it with fruit, vegetables and salad.

On a day you are feeling more hungry than usual for whatever reason there is always plenty you can eat. And still stay on plan.
