360 kg of coke.

Presuming a street value of around 40 - 50 a gram.

That's around 14 to 16 million? Where am I going wrong?

Surely the police wouldn't give such a blatant lie about value.

And it would have never have been sold in individual wraps, would it? So would have been worth less.

360 kg is 360 000 g x 100 is £360 000 000 which is 360 million so even more than they are saying?

ageingrunner · 10/02/2017 20:21

It'll be cut before sale and still sold for £40 - £80 a gram

TheSnowFairy · 10/02/2017 20:22

Someone somewhere must be absolutely shitting themselves Shock

DoublyTroubly · 10/02/2017 20:24

I take it you're talking about the coke that washed up on a beach. Assuming your street value is correct, I assume that that is after the coke has been cut with other substances. I'm guessing that the coke that washed up on the beach is pure so therefore worth a lot more

user1471517900 · 10/02/2017 20:24

360,000 *100 doesn't give 360,000,000

Superaspie · 10/02/2017 20:24

It all makes perfect sense now.

I thought it might be like weed. The price has nearly doubled in 10 years.

TheSnow I said to oh 'well someone is dead then'

BarbaraofSeville · 10/02/2017 20:27

No it doesn't user, it's £36 million of course. I counted all the zeros several times but I have been on the gin.

Which might make £50 million once it's been cut or if it goes for mire than £100 per cut gram.

Superaspie · 10/02/2017 20:30

138 pound a gram.

DanGleballs · 10/02/2017 20:34

It's £100 where I am for semi decent stuff. The washed up stuff us likely to be uncut. It will be cut several times before it is sold.

amispartacus · 10/02/2017 20:34

Now there's a maths question - applied maths Grin

DancingHouse · 10/02/2017 20:35

Police always overestimate street value of drugs.

The amount of times you read reports of cannabis farms of about a dozen plants being worth £40k. Like fuck could you get that much bud from a 1 plant, maybe out in the morrocan sun but certainly not under a lamp in a dodgy bedsit in Bridgewater. Hmm

amispartacus · 10/02/2017 20:35

So......how much do people pay for a 'hit'?

What's the size of a hit?

ClopySow · 10/02/2017 20:36

They reckon a gram is no more than about 25% pure. Fuckin robbin bastards.

justdontevenfuckingstart · 10/02/2017 20:37

Most of the plants in my garden are in lovely big pots that oh got from a cannabis raid.

psychoactive · 10/02/2017 20:39

About £100 a gram, but a person could get through about 3 grans a night so it's not great value for money.

ChopOrNot · 10/02/2017 20:42

They should use this as a basis for a Year 6 SATs question...

DanGleballs · 10/02/2017 20:43

Coke is the most overrated drug going. Nasty stuff really. It makes people edgy and often violent.

Only 3 grans? The Big bad wolf can do better Grin

If the police find 360kg of cocaine and say it's worth £15 million - can you explain why they are lying bastards Grin

psychoactive · 10/02/2017 20:45

I'm not a very big person 🙃

psychoactive · 10/02/2017 20:45

Ohhh 😳

Scribblegirl · 10/02/2017 20:47

£50 a gram standard when I was at uni but that was Bristol - apparently the regional airports and ports are easier, so it had less to travel

justdontevenfuckingstart · 10/02/2017 20:48

They should also set the question 'can you devise something that hides the fact that I am gurning my tits off'

amispartacus · 10/02/2017 20:50

Totally new world to me - how much cocaine do take in a hit? My only reference is Pulp Fiction films.
