To ask about this contract Steph Davis has asked Jeremy McConnell to sign?

I hope this doesn't start a bun fight - I know it's utter trash tv / 'celebrity' nonsense but I keep seeing things pop up about this contract she's presented to him to sign as part of the dna test she's asked for.

AIBU to be really nosey about what's in this contract? Philip Scofield said it was unreasonable and he obviously knows everything...

What could it possibly be?

Plus (and obviously I don't understand contract law enough to get this point) I don't understand why they can't discuss it if he's not intending to sign it? Surely he could divulge what's so unreasonable about it in this case?

Given the claptrap she has spouted since the moment of conception I shudder to think what demands she has put into any contract.

Hastalapasta · 10/02/2017 12:41

Who? Never heard of them. Slinks back under my rock....

TurquoiseDress · 10/02/2017 12:57

I'm confused as I don't know either of them and presumed they were in Big Brother last year.

Now even more baffled that they were in celebrity BB as I don't know who they are and thought that CBB gets at least moderately famous celebs?

I think the best thing they can do is just disappear and get on with their lives.

15 years ago there was no Twitter, FB or Instagram.

Amazing how nowadays people can just shove themselves into the spotlight via social media.

Also I've just realised that she is the one who announced her pregnancy when she was about 5 mins gone last summer.

I remember as I was going through a MMC at that point.

The photos of her getting her ultrasound scan done just made me Shock
Luckily for her, the baby had a heartbeat

GabsAlot · 10/02/2017 14:01

he said he he refe4rence another man not that he didnt say he want the fathe but which amounts to the same thing

he shouldnt have gone on tv to do a dna test though-bit 6 of one half dozen of the other

GabsAlot · 10/02/2017 14:02

FilmaWlintstone · 10/02/2017 15:42

Consensus seems to be its something to do with publicity with the baby then

All v odd!

But I still don't get why he can't talk about it?

Obviously if he agreed to the terms he couldn't

But since he has refused to do so - why must he keep it confidential?

From what I gather he decided to do the DNA test on This Morning because she has constantly insisted he said he would never do one and it was all his fault. Going on live TV, although not very classy, is one sure fire way to shut her up about that.

He was completely vile towards her but she was no better. He slept with other women and apparently other men thought they might be the dad.

The contract, I think, has certain clauses about him not being allowed to have the child in the public eye/discuss the baby in public as well as numerous other control factors. Completely unreasonable.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 10/02/2017 16:12

They are both reality twats yes, but he has been so fucking callous

So has she.

Jellybean83 · 10/02/2017 16:22

I think he probably felt he had no option to go on This Morning to get his side across. Apart from a few short comments on social media he has kept quiet about the situation, people probably took that silence to mean that everything Steph has said is true. Trial by social media can't be a pleasant thing.

At this point he probably just wants to find out if he is a dad or not, so has took the decision not to badmouth or discuss her terms to make that happen. As someone said upthread, she announced her pregnancy very early, they had both just got out of this very toxic (by their own admission) relationship so I can kind of see why he maybe thought she was lying when it was first announced, plus that other guy saying he slept with her didn't help matters.

I hope for the sake of the little baby they find some sort of common ground.

Funnyonion17 · 10/02/2017 16:30

Set of tramps the pair of them tbh. The DNA test could have been done ages ago, they need to drag out the drama though don't they. That poor child.

hackneyandbow · 10/02/2017 22:31

I didn't realise there were other e potential dads. Has she said this?

AlmostAJillSandwich · 10/02/2017 22:40

I'm honestly sick of hearing about it. Half the "stories" in the online paper i read are about her. She got pregnant, he doubts hes the dad, she insists he is, etc.
IF he's the father he has as much right to do articles, photo shoots etc with him as she does, but because he's denied he's the dad and has slagged her off royally in the process she doesn't want him profiting from it.
OR she actually does have doubts theres a small possibility it isn't his baby, and by having such a demanding and unreasonable contract he has to sign to get the test done, he will never agree to it and she doesn't have to face the possible backlash if it's not his kid.
Either way, if she wants any money out of him she'll relent and agree to more reasonable terms, and it will blight the papers again whatever the outcome.
On another note, the baby has a truly ridiculous name.

Who? Never heard of them. Slinks back under my rock....

So pleased I'm not the only one who has no clue who these obvious nonentities are.

SandyDenny · 11/02/2017 18:55

Surprise, surprise, I see his is the father.

Reminds me of Liz Hurley and Steve Bing who iirc said he wasn't the father as he was sleeping with other people, obviously no grasp of biology

VeryBitchyRestingFace · 11/02/2017 19:02

Don't know about the contract but he's a total liar. I'm too old for all their malarky but even I know he flat out denied the baby was his during the pregnancy and is now backtracking

Snap, I don't watch Hollyoaks or BB and couldn't pick either of them out of a police line up if my life depended on it.

But I remember him denying that the baby was his and that she was even pregnant being splashed all over the tabloids. According to him, there was no pregnancy and she was making it all up.

And now he's back peddling, the twat. Hmm
