AIBU to say something to nursery

Got told on Monday this week at picking up time that DS needed nappies. Simply that, nothing more, nothing less. It was ex's turn to provide nappies so text and asked him or his gf to take some in as it's their run on a Tuesday.

Received a text from ex gf's to say that nursery have told her that DS had run out of nappies the week before and was borrowing from others.

Called nursery to find out what was going on to be told by the office staff that there had been a struggle to get nappies off me and they had been asking since last week. I am LIVID. I pay a ridiculous amount each week for him to go to that nursery why would I begrudge an extra £3/4 on a pack of nappies!?

What has irritated me more is that they have said all this to ex's gf - it's difficult enough maintaining a civilised relationship with them both without nursery shit stirring as well. They'll be sat at home calling me an unfit mother for not providing nappies when actually, I'm just not a mind reader!

WIBU to say something tonight to nursery even though I've already phoned? I can't stop thinking about it and feel so annoyed but I am 8 weeks pregnant and could be slightly irrational!

You're welcome hangryandhormonal Smile

I'm sure they won't mind writing down the odd note, it would be very unreasonable for them to say no ... if you were expecting a daily diary or even a full info sheet every day if they clarified that they don't do them in his new room, then that would be too much, but the odd note written down of things that need to be brought in/topped up etc should not be beyond them since it makes their life easier too, for the sake of taking two minutes to write it down.

Hopefully things went well at pick up today.

An update if anyone is interested - I had a calm and quiet word with the office staff, said all needed to say and we came to the agreement that a quick email to me would be really useful when it's time for nappies and wipes, no confusion then as to who said what, when!

That's a great outcome!

YABVU.

First you tell your ex that he OR his gf have to drop nappies off, so his gf does it. Then you don't want nursery to tell her things. Sorry but that's utterly ridiculous.

Nursery charge a lot of money because costs of running nurseries are getting higher and higher especially as funding is being cut. If nappies are not included in the cost then you have to accept that and if they run out then you have to deal with it.

But don't tell your ex's GF to do it if you don't want nursery talking to her. It's not her job to do it anyway - you and your ex are the parents.

Confused!? If you are 8 weeks pregnant I imagine that your relationship with him IS civilised!!

Hahaha Horatio me and ex take it in turn to provide nappies, he just doesn't bother picking up or dropping off so HE leaves it with gf to sort. You've missed the point completely. I am MORE than happy to provide nappies.

user1480267413 - DS is 2, we split before I found out I was pregnant with him. I am in a much better, much happier relationship now. New baby is with new partner. Shock, horror 2 children with 2 men Hmm
