Utterly fed up of tradespeople not showing up

Asked a painter/decorator to come and give me a quote. Set up for 9am today. He even texted on Sunday to double check stil suited. No sign of him yet 🙄 No reply to my text as yet. Now I don't want to go out in case he turns up. DD (2) climbing walls.

Not the first time this has happened. About six months ago we needed a plumber. Phoned two in the local area and neither turned up when they said they would, texting later to apologise.

Is it me?! I don't get it!

Had two electricians not show up recently. Spoke to a third yesterday who was meant to be here half an hour ago. Angry

Been waiting a bit over a year for someone to fit internal doors, I have used him before and he did a fantastic job. So I asked him to fit these doors, no rush,do one if you have a spare half day/quarter day or do all five if you have a hiatus between bigger jobs.i will pay upfront if you want, you provide doors and furniture or I will, whichever suits.
Still waiting Sad

I saw him last week too but he never mentioned a thing so I have another plan in mind, it may require a lot of swearing and maybe multiple trips to a and e but I will have doors that fit Grin

I absolutely know he shows up and does the job he has quoted for Smile

but I think the partners of these badly-behaved tradesmen are generally clueless.

There are some crackers on here lately Grin
