I'm very overweight. I'm about 190lbs at 5'2 and it is really starting to impact my health.

I'm only 25 but I feel like crap all the time. My feet hurt constantly, my joints ache and I feel tired constantly. I honestly feel like an old woman most of the time Sad.

I know I need to lose weight but I have no clue where to start and can't get motivated.

If you managed to lose weight then how did you get motivated? What pushed you to do it?

I'm tired of being a fat mess Sad.

Delia, no, no vomiting here - stopping the self-loathing and the beating-yourself-up for yet another failed 'diet', can be the first step to nurturing yourself with tasty proper food and not denying yourself all the time.

OP, you deserve better than you feel right now.
Love yourself, warts an'all, and look after yourself lovingly and tenderly.
That includes not allowing too much junk to cross your lips Thanks

Get a weight tracker app - weigh yourself at the same time every day and enter your weight (first thing before you get in the shower works best for me). I find it works, because if you do something like low carbing you will see results very quickly in the first couple of days - if only 0.2kg, but you can see it's working which I find motivates me to (for example) avoid carbs in the day ahead. By weighing yourself every day you get that positive reinforcement every day that it is working.

I sometimes use the my fitness pal app too. You put in your details, how much weight a week you want to lose and tells you how many calories you should be eating a day. You can scan barcodes of foods onto the app for quickness. Also have photo of me in my undies and when I saw a video of myself spurred me into action. Sometimes do a less strict version of the 5:2 diet.

I have a closed Facebook.

All I have posted is my weight and body measurements every Friday for 3 months.

I too have cut out carbs. If I slip I remind myself how far I have come. And I crack on.

I am no longer obese. This is a good thing. My first milestone was getting a bmi less than my age.

I have very low carb tolerance. I have to go very low to get results. But I am getting results. And I am not hungry.

I'm contemplating running. I'm still making excuses as to why I can't right now. But the excuses are getting weaker. I think a pair of headphones and i'll be on it. Maybe.

I'm going to have a full body massage. I have reached my goal to be allowed to reward myself with one.-13 stone. I shall have another at 12 stone. At 11 stone I need an even bigger reward. But I get to plan what that will be when I have reached 12 stone. Right now I'm thinking holiday. But part of my reward or reaching 12 stone will be getting to plan that 11 stone rewards.

Take it one day at a time.
